Halal Pork

MMM | November 22, 2007 – 6:47 pm |

So what do you know?

halal pork

Very interesting. Some Australians have managed to find a way to make pork halal for Muslims.

Really great job; given that pork is one of the ultimate non-halal items on earth.

Kind of makes you wonder how halal the other labeled stuff is…

[Update: Just to clarify something, this post was meant as sarcasm from my part, because Pork is not Halal, and never will be. There's just no way around it.]

Pork is simply forbidden in Quran. So, I am sorry for those who made this effort, but, NO WAY !

spending money just to make muslims eat pork!
I wonder that is to just earn more money and not to make muslims do what is forbiden for them.

At last, MMM! Kosher pork! If it’s halal it’s kosher, too.

Those clever Australians. As I recall, Muslims and Jews couldn’t duck the pork bullet, so to speak, even if there were genetically-engineered pigs with cuds. Even flying ones adorned with lipstick. Pork is pork.

We’re recovering from Thanksgiving here. Though the nation with highest per capita consumption of turkey is Israel, that poor, doomed birdie being strictly kosher.

Happily, my holiday consumption of turkey was restricted to Wild Turkey, a venerable brand of bourbon whiskey. The rest of my family, being vegetarians, dined on an abomination called–Shudder!– tofu-turkey, a description of which I’ll spare you. May you and yours never have to confront one.

    Cheers.

Salam.. yup. We have these arguments in Malaysia and Singapore. These airflown halal porks are actually sold in NTUC, a giant supermarket in Singapore. If you visit my blog, there is another picture of Porkloin rib sold with the similar Halal sticker. The sticker is from one of the Islamic Association in Singapore called MUIS. This halal sticker is so confusing as we noticed that are at least three different version of these stickers used by

How in the world could you tell if it has been blessed or not? what is to stop a company from putting a little sticker on a product saying that it has been blessed? or restraunt from just claiming to be halal… just like someone put the halal sticker on the pork…

it’s NOT the Australians who says its HALAL. the “Halal” sticker is stuck on by the Singaporeans.

You’ve done a great public service to muslims in Singapore. This is a reminder for muslims to be ever vigilant. We are aware that those non-muslims have this inherent inclination to exploit muslims to meet their objectives by fraudulent means, something their own religion discourage. From time to time this sort of thing will emerge. They are always scheming, deceiving, twisting, defaming muslims. Speak volumes of their upbringing and education.
