Yahoo! 360°

Yahoo! have just announced the beta of a new service called Yahoo! 360°. This service is Yahoo's step into the social networking and blogging arena.
They promise it will be an easy way to keep connected to friends and family with blogs, photos and more.

The service will enable users to blog, make lists (recommended books, music, movies, ...etc), add photo albums, rate and review local restaurants and businesses, share their LAUNCHcast music stations, show the groups they're members of, ...etc.

I think this could turn out to be a pretty nice service for Yahoo! users, enabling them to put stuff from the different Yahoo! services they use on one page and adding to it some blogging.

This move comes as social networking and blogging draws increased interest from rivals, including Microsoft and Google.
Microsoft started MSN Spaces a while back, and Google owns Blogger and Orkut.

I dig Yahoo, most of the time. I don't like their email service very much, but I love how my boyfriend and I can combine our calendars and I use Launchcast quite often. :-)

Yeah, I like Yahoo! too, but not as much as Google.

The thing with Yahoo is that they started out really cool, then got really big and started messing stuff up and being stupid, but now they're going back to their coolness mainly due to peer pressure.
