Bridges TV
I bought “The Middle East” magazine a couple of days ago for the first time, and I have to say I’m quite impressed. The content is rich and it provides some very good insight into current Middle Eastern / World events.
Anyway, I read an article in it about Bridges TV, a project by some American Muslims to create a Muslim TV network in the US that airs programs which are fit for Muslim viewing.
I think this is a great idea, not only because it’ll provide American Muslims with a TV network that they can feel comfortable watching and letting their children watch but also because it’ll be in English and will also cater to the new generations of American Muslims.
Other than all of that, it will be a voice for American Muslims, enabling them to open other people’s eyes on what Islam really is, and get them to know more about it.
Of course, the founders and investors are still working hard trying to get enough initial subscribers to be awarded precious airtime, but they’re confident, and they’re expecting to be online in September 2004.

A great issue to discuss and a great way of expressing your own point of view. You even inspired me to write about it in my own blog, thanx ;)
