23/01/06 : Prime 9 Results : Finals : Future Arab SuperStar

The results for the ninth prime of the Future Arab SuperStar finals were just announced, and two candidates just had to leave. This must have been the hardest time yet as the five contestants are really good and all are star material.

The candidates who were called to the danger zone were:
- Shahd Barmada (Syria)
- Ahmad El Faleh (Iraq)
- Asma Othmani (Tunisia)

And the contestants who had to leave today were:
- Asma Othmani (Tunisia)
- Ahmad El Faleh (Iraq)

I wish them both the very best in their careers after SuperStar. They are both really good and they can count me as a fan.

I didn’t expect Ahmad El Faleh to leave today, I actually expected him to win the title because of his popularity, anyway it seems his fans let him down this time.

Next week’s guest is Lebanese star Julia Boutros.

22/01/06: Prime 9 : Finals : Future Arab SuperStar

The ninth prime of the finals of Arab SuperStar on Future TV just ended.

The guest of this prime was Saudi star Talal Salameh, and so the episode kicked off with a medley of his songs.

Each contestant performed two songs tonight, and the list of the songs is as follows:

Round 1:
- Ibrahim El Hakami (Saudi Arabia): Harramt Ahibbak (Warda)
- Shahd Barmada (Syria): Irga’a Lil Shouq (Elyssa)
- Ahmad El Faleh (Iraq): Madraset El Hobb (Kathem El Saher)
- Aymen Lasseeg (Tunisia): Jann El Hawa (Wael Kfoury)
- Asma Othmani (Tunisia): Min Izz El Noom (Feirooz)

Round 2:
- Ibrahim El Hakami (Saudi Arabia): Ma Yiswa (Hussein El Jasmi)
- Shahd Barmada (Syria): El Hobb Elli Kan (Mayyada El Hinnawi)
- Ahmad El Faleh (Iraq): Sahharooni El Leil (Ragheb Alama)
- Aymen Lasseeg (Tunisia): El Laylo Ya Layla (Wadee’ El Safi)
- Asma Othmani (Tunisia): Ala Shou (Julia Boutros)

All the contestants did great today, except for Ahmad El Faleh who didn’t do as good as usual, mainly because he was faced with a bad choice of songs.

Anyway, it’ll be really hard tomorrow having two contestants leave. These five are all great, and I wouldn’t mind if any of them were to win the title.
However, I will allow myself to say that the candidate who deserves the title the most this year is Shahd Barmada from Syria.
Still, I expect that Ahmad El Faleh will win because he seems to be very popular with the voters.

19/01/06: Prime 8 : Finals : Future Arab SuperStar

The eighth prime of the finals of Arab SuperStar on Future TV just ended.

The guest of this prime was the great Tunisian star Lotfi Boushnaq, and so the episode kicked off with a medley of his songs.

The list of the songs performed by each candidate tonight is as follows:

- Asma Othmani (Tunisia): Oyoun El Alb (Najat El Sagheera) + Cinema (Lotfi Boushnaq)

- Aymen Lasseeg (Tunisia): Law Sa’alouk (Warda) + Sahharni El Shooq (Fadl Shaker)

- Ahmad El Faleh (Iraq): Aho Da Elli Sar (Sayyed Darweesh) + Al Hawa Hawaya (Abd El Haleem Hafedh)

- Shahd Barmada (Syria): Qudoud Halabiyya + Maw’oud (Abd El Haleem Hafedh)

- Ibrahim El Hakami (Saudi Arabia): Mawwal + A Hadeer El Posta (Feirooz)

All the contestants did great tonight, so great I can’t even pick favourites. They all deserve to stay. It’s good no one is leaving after this episode.

Lotfi Boushnaq sang two great songs, and I especially enjoyed the second one called “El Medina” which had a really nice tune and very good lyrics.

It was great watching the candidate’s video footage and seeing our friend and fellow blogger Zizou with the Tunisian candidates on the day of the Eid.

One thing I want to add is that Ziad Boutros was exceptionally shitty with Aymen Lasseeg in this episode for no reason at all. He went as far as saying that he hopes he got his luggage ready to go the day after. This was after he started saying something about Aymen, and Mrs Fadia cut him short to disagree. So I guess he was a bit pissed off and took it out on Aymen.

Anyway, there will be no voting for this episode. But after Sunday’s episode, two contestants will have to leave on Monday. It’ll be a shame to see anyone of these five leave.

Next week’s guest will be Saudi star Talal Salameh.

Prime 8 of Future’s Arab SuperStar

My dear friend and fellow Tunisian blogger Zizou, who is living in Lebanon at the moment, and who is in direct contact with the SuperStar candidates just sent me this to share with you guys.

I just got the superstars on the phone ! The show was shot on sunday and it will be broadcasted this thursday !
you will see me with them during the Adha party…
Bouchnaq was great ( nice suit) and each singer had to perform two songs this time ( 6mn in Total) Asma was great ( my advices made a good effect) Actually all of them were very good and it is going to be hard to choose this time!
especially that this time 2 participants will be kicked out on monday ( The one of thursday and the one of sunday) I forgot who will be the guest this sunday but it is not Ragheb Alama ( I’m dying to attend that show)!

I’m looking forward to this prime and the one after, although I’m worried about who might leave.

Big thanks to Zizou for the information :)
