Future Arab SuperStarThe results for the tenth prime of the Arab SuperStar 4 finals were just announced on Future TV.
The first contestant to pass to the finals was Marouen Ali (Tunisia); leaving the other two in the danger zone.
The contestant who had to leave the show this week was:
- Yosra Mahnoush (Tunisia)
I was expecting either Saad or Yosra to leave, although I hoped the final would be between Marouen Ali and Yosra Mahnoush, anyway good luck to Yosra in her career, she has a great voice and deserves all the best.
So, the final show of this season of SuperStar is next week, and the competition will be a tight one between:
- Marouen Ali (Tunisia)
- Saad El Mjarred (Morocco)
Good luck to both of them; But honestly, in my opinion, Marouen Ali deserves the title by far.
The star guest of the show will be Lebanese star Assi Hilani.

One thing to keep in mind is that you are chatting among yourselves, where none of your opinions count, but still appreciated among us. The results have been set up from the beginning where Saad remains, although so many who were voted off were WAAYYYYYY better than him. His being arrogant and so sure of himself from the beginning should tell you something. For looks, I give him 40%. Presentation on the stage, 50%. Facial expressions when he sings, 0%, voice, I have to give him 60%. Saad sees himself as the next George Wassuf, I hope so because Wassuf is sooooo fading away and his voice, man what a terrible one.
Marwan, the baby face, he merits all the voting cause he definitely got the voice and the looks and the stage presence and the down-to-earth character. He sang a huge variety of songs from across the arab continent where the other didn’t.

Marwan is a true star. You can see it in the judge’s faces when they give him comments. Saad, i will admit he is good, but he ALWAYS FORGETS THE LYRICS and even madame fadia told him, u are like a student that never studies but still manages to pass, you are so lucky.
Marwan worked hard to get here and continues to show his true potential as an all-around singer. He is only 18 years old and already he is showing this all of this talent.

When is the last time Saad forgot the lyrics…he did indeed forget the lyrics during the rehearsals but he has surpassed all the stage fright or nerves that must overwhelm all the contestants. He wasn’t the only one.
Marwan…also has his flaws that he’s overcome…remember him studdering and also looking left and right on stage…he looked scared shitless. He changed and he has truly grown throught out the weekend. However…I still fail to see him as a superstar.
Put aside for one second the song selection but could you pay 150 to watch Marwan in concert?
At least with Saad he can sing many varieties…Khaleeji, Masri, Syrian, Loubnani, Tunsi, Maghribi, Aljazayri, and according to Fadia he has an air or Spanish and Indian to his voice, so he can be very versatile which I think Marwan lacks.
Also to answer the previous question…Saad sang Melhem Barakat…Alla Bahbi Waif Amarain phenomenally. Also Hobbak Azzab is not easy…it has a very high soprano part…try it vocally yourself and you’ll realize how easily Saad executed it.
The show should not be about singing to the Lebanese only. Marwan continues to stick with Fairouz and Saber and other Lebanese singers…I think he needs to sing something out of the ordinary to show whether he could be a superstar for all of the ARAB world not just Tunis or Lebanon…

Well Ahlem, I never wanted to talk about Saad that I respect and because I support Marwan. But in your message I need to put some fact and disagree with you.
On your first point, Saad forgot the words last time on a semi final… Ok he’s nervous but at this stage and to be superstar we need to abe ablt to overcome it. A reminder, in the last selection before the prime, with only the jury, he compeletly forgot the words and has to leave the stage. You can check the video in Dailymotion or read the article in Farfesh site.
Next one, About Marwan singing only to leabanease singers and stick to Feryouz and Saber that’s not true at all. First it’s not an individual choice but with the Jury. Marwan songs 2 song to Abdelhalim and 2 to Warda (this already 4 Egyptian singers) and also 1 to Abelwehab and 1 to Karem Mahmoud. If we add the song form the tunisian singer Oulaya (Ali jara) , it’s already more than half that are not Leabnease. he sang one song to Feyrouz and 2 to Saber. So don’t make people thinsk he’s stick to Saber and Feyrouz.
Last, You say Saad sings “Khaleeji, Masri, Syrian, Loubnani, Tunsi, Maghribi, Aljazayri”, In Superstar he sang Ya Rayah, ONE ALGERIAN song. Can you give me the list of what he sings ? DOn’t make people goes wrong.

I think Marwan is good for his age, but he still needs more practice. His voice always shakes & I would never pay $150 to go to his concert ( if he ever does one). I can’t liesten to him more than 5-10 minutes. But I give him credit coz he’s trying.
Saad has 100% voice, 100% personality, & 80% looks. I can listen to his voice all day long. He did forget some words to the songs in the begining, that was because he’s nerves. By the way Ilyas never said “you are going to land in Tunisia” to Marwan. Maybe you didn’t understand Lebanese dialect. In fact they all think he has the best voice, more professional and has the best control of the way he sings… technically speaking he is way better. I remember Abdallah told Marwan once he does things with the song better than himself being an experienced successful composer.Then again who cares what jury members say? isn’t it?!!!!!!!

There are more than 30 messages since I last commented, so I have a lot of catching up to do. However, just browsing through what was written, everyone is entitled to his opinion and there is no need to use foul language.
For those who support Saad, I don’t like him, period. He doesn’t deserve to win. Some commented that Ziad likes him; yah, because he picked him (and who likes Ziad anyway?). Ziad always commented negatively about many contestants while the other judges highly praised them. Even he commented a few times that Saad mumbles when he forgets the lyrics. And, he keeps reminding Saad about “el wahid lazem yehterim nafsu wal gheir, irifit keef, haida muhim kteer”; he’s really coaching him rather than judging him, so how can you expect him not to support Saad. Keep in mind that Ziad is very cheap on praising contestants (other than his puppy Saad) like the other judges praise other contestants, which tells me that Saad is not extraordinary. If Saad’s parents are good artists, did they ever include him in their shows or concerts or stage appearances (I don’t know anything about them; AND, how well-known is Saad in Morocco?

Also, Abdallah said that he would like Marwan to win Superstar last episode ( Ma biz3al iza Marwan 7imil el laqab). And Madame Fadia, week after week, gives her support to Marwan and Saad, i dont find she favors one really, except last week she was very positive with Marwan. Elias, well obviously he was a Yousra fan, i dont really know who he favors between both Marwan and Saad. I have to agree with the others that say carrying the “SUPERSTAR” title isn’t the winning. I’m sure it’s exposure which will carry the singers far. Yousra will definitely be remembered for “the VOICE”, the stage presense and al anaka, but most importantly is the voice.
Marwan is the type of voice one would listen to day and night and never be bored. HE won’t be left behind by the music industry people who REALLY know music and al tarab al aseel, not the brouhaha other singers use to attract the young foolish generation who believe they know what they’re talking about.

People, this is just a dialogue between “humans”, not a war. You should keep that in mind when you comment. I don’t know any of you but I can tell something about you from your writing.
Saad lied about him being married, one main reason comes to mind — He wants all the female young generation to keep voting for him, believing that he is still a bachelor and he is their “Knight on the white horse”. Maybe this is one of the reasons judges keep telling him to be honest and “al akhlak kteer muhimme lilmughanni” or something to that effect. They never gave Marwan a comment of this sort.
Marwan is the one who deserves the labaa superstar. If not, it’s then confirmed a set up from the beginning.
