Future Arab SuperStarThe results for the ninth prime of the Arab SuperStar 4 finals were announced last night on Future TV.
All the contestants were called into the danger zone, and the contestant who had to leave the show this week was:
- Ahmad Hussein (Lebanon)
I was expecting Ahmed to go, so it didn’t come as much of a surprise to me, good luck to him in his career.
So, now the golden triangle is made up of:
- Yosra Mahnoush (Tunisia)
- Marouen Ali (Tunisia)
- Saad El Mjarred (Morocco)
Next week in addition to the individual songs the contestants will be performing duets, and the star guest of the show will be Egyptian star Ehab Tawfik.
Ok. Now things are really going to be getting tough. I cannot make up my mind on who I like the most. i love them all equally.
My prediction for the person that will leave is, and I hate to say, Yusra. As much as I love her, one has to go.
Who ever it is that leaves next, I can only wish them the best because these final three are truly the golden talents within the competition. Each of them deserve the title. But we all know that there is one winner.

Yusra and Marwan to the final, the very top quality voices around. Period.
Ziad, Ilyas, Abdallah and Fadia know them the most and they all love to have a final between Yusra and Marwan. I and millions around the world too want to have both of them in the final.
Saad the weakest voice left. I’m sure he will be leaving next after all he made it to top 3 and made a lot of teenagers fans. He should be proud of himself.

I agree with you Al Shanfara. First of all, I think Yusra and Marwan should reach the final stage. Not that I do not like Saad, I think he is great too, and I am sure with the support of his artist family, we will hear more from him in the future.
As for the foul language used in lots of comments on this site, I think it is absolutely tasteless and unasked for. Anyone with comments like that is unrespectful to themselves first, and should keep it to themselves.

I am surprised that SAAD is still around. Do you really believe he has a good voice? Do you see the way he sings? So much for voice and image. I’ve never seen him nervous about the results because he knows IT’s FIXED. He’s nowhere near the others, and if he becomes the superstar, I take it you’ll be buying his CDs???
saad made it to the top, he is staying in the top, and no one is taking that from him. he is going to be the superstar of 2007, because he receives the most voting from the people. the whole world is voting for him.
yusra and marwan are good, enough they made it to the top, but saad is the winner. the final should be between yusra and saad, or marwan and saad, and the winner is going to be saad. go go go shorty, it’s your game we going to party go go!
Saad did not receive the most voting for the 2 last primes. On Prime 8 he went to the danger zone and not Yusra and Marwan and for the last prime he had less voting than Yusran and Marwan, even if both are Tunisians so they have less chance.
The is only one reason, people prefer Yusra and Marwan….
Of course no one is right or wrong and it’s good to support its candaidates….. But if the game is fair Yusra and Marwan will make the final…. If not it’s fine too

The beauty of Superstar is not a show that exploit patriotism or regionalism like that mediocre show called Starac. It’s clear the votes coming to Yusra, Marwan and Saad are mostly form places other than Tunisia or Morocco. The winner after all will be Superstar Al Arab.
I just can’t imagine a Lebanese proud of his/her music not wanting to vote for the elegance of Wadee3 songs executed perfectly by Marwan.
I can’t imagine a Saudi not wanting to support Yusra after that astonishing performance of “al Amakin”.
I can’t imagine any Egyptian or Arab for that matter wanting to hear Om Kolthom and Sayyid Mekkawi form any contestant other than Yusra.
As Abdallah Al Go3ood said Superstar fans and viewers UNDERSTAND, LOVE and APPRECIATE music and real talents.

Do you guys actually believe that the voting works??? it’s all a game to keep you voting. Saad was in danger zone twicw, but it doesn’t mean anything, he’s still THE BEST!! Yusra was in danger zone 3 or 4 times. Marwan was in danger zone 2 ot three times. All three of them are good, but I think saad can really sing & he rocks the show. I hope that he will win coz he deserves it the most from all three of them. He sang all kinds of song & he was great at them. I won’t vote anymore because it looks like its a game, but I really hope that SAAD will win & if he didn’t He will still be #1 in my opinion. Good luck to all of them!!

Well personally, I was expecting Ahmad Hussein to leave because it seemed like he wasn’t getting enough votes to keep him going on, and no matter how much we hate that fact, who wins in the end depends on who gets the most votes.
Personally my favourites are Marouen and Yosra, with a slight inclination towards Marouen because I like his personality better, but that’s my own opinion, and everyone is entitled to theirs in the end.
Yosra is simply beautiful, funny, down to earth, Smart, confident….
I’m not going to mention her singing capabilities because if I do all others will only be good as a coral for her.

I read this in the l’arabe…the show will be shown this coming Sunday. We will vote for the top 2 and the results air on Monday. The following week of the June 3 we will see the final two perform.

To answer your question regarding why Saad fans feel the need to post messages asking people to vote for him, the answer is simple and it is not what you think. Meaning, it is not because he is not good or that he does not deserve the title. The issue here is that this show “SuperStar” is not very popular in Morocco. All most everyone has a satellite at home, but they do not watch Future TV. Not sure why. Might be because they feel more confortable watching channels in Egyption dialect than lebanese. Another, reason is that the local channel refuse to promote Moroccan candidates if they are part of show that belongs to a competitor satellite channel. Stupid, but go figure…Anyhow, this is why fans keep posting messages about the vote.
On seperate note, I’m Moroccan and it is only natural that I would want Saad to win. Now, don’t get me wrong, he is very talented. However, if it so happen that he does not win, I’ll be just as happy that Yosra or Marwan win. You might ask why. First of all, because we all win since we get some true talent that the Arab music can benefit from. Also, these are special people. Very talented. They work hard everyday to go out and deliver the best at the Prime. Everyone at this stage of the competition is a winner for making this far. Let’s all relax, sit back, and enjoy the last 2 episodes. And may the best win!

I just want to comment about the Future superstar website (www.futuresuperstar.com) , and I hope somebody from there reads this. Not only is it always very late in covering primes and news or giving results, but in the case of this week, it does not even tell the people of what is going on or how things are going to go.
I think it is disrespectful to the audience who is following the show to leave them in total ignorance trying to guess wt is going on, when it is supposed to be a formal mouthpiece of the show. My advice is to either shape up there or close it down!!
Mind you, it was not like this last year.
je veux juste répondre à truth,qui parle un français très douteux on ne dit pas connection à ce que je sache mais piston. je veux rappeler aussi que celui qui a vraiment des pistons c’est bel et bien SAAd.
en plus je trouve déplorable que vous utilisez le mot vulgaire pour designer une personne forte de taille . on ne choisi pas son physique. de plus c’est m^me pas elle qui choisi ce qu’elle met , elle est habillé par le show et dans ce sens je ne crois pas que rihab était moins vulgaire avec ces cheveux sauvagement teintés et son look garçon manqué. en moins YOSRA est naturelle tout est naturel.

I advise that you go back to my previous post and read it carefully because clearly you misunderstood it. As I mentioned I’m going to vote for Saad as he is my favorite, but if he does not win I’m going to be happy for Yosra and Marwan. Why so much anger? You don’t have to be rude to disagree with me. If you thing I’m wrong correct me, but you don’t have to be rude about it. let’s be civilized about this. Also, when you say that the contestants do not need me or anybody else to win. This is wrong. They do need me, you, and all the fans out there. Our votes are what’s going to keep them in the show and eventually guarantee them the title.

C’est la première fois que je participe à ce forum. je vais donc être un peu longue:
Sans trop revenir sur tout ce qui a été dit, je me contente d’exprimer ma grande satisfaction de la performance des deux candidats tunisiens tout au long de cette émission. Je suis également extrêmement contente que les 3 premiers soient les trois maghrébins,non seulement parce qu’ils ont de superbes voix, mais surtout pour leur caractère exceptionnel, pour leur sens de l’humour, leur spontanéité, leur modestie et pour le respect qu’ils ont montré envers tous les autres candidats, tout le groupe de travail et envers l’émission en général. En deux mots, je suis vraiment fière d’eux tous les trois.
Je suis également contente qu’ils soient arrivés à ce stade parce que, et en toute objectivité, ils en ont le plus besoin: malheureusement la tunisie et le maroc ne sont pas les pays sur lesquels on peut compter pour lancer de nouvelles et “vraies” stars. S’ils avaient pas atteint ce stade bien avancé, ils auraient disparus juste après l’émission comme s’ils avaient jamais participé (c’est d’ailleurs le cas pour Asma ben Ahmad qui avait une extraordinaire voix l’année dernière et ça sera aussi le cas pour Rawdha Ben Abdallah qui, elle aussi, a une très belle voix). Mais, heureusement pour Marouen, Yosra et évidemment Saad, ils auront, quelque soit le résultat de demain et de la semaine prochaine, l’encadrement nécessaire de la part des autres pays et notamment le liban pour briller dans le monde arabe.
Enfin, je tiens à préciser que les 3 candidats ont chacun un style différent des deux autres. ils sont tous super mais celui qui me touche le plus quand il chante reste MAROUEN qui malgré son jeune âge, il nous touche au fond même de nos coeurs par son “i7sas 3ali” et sa voix calme très agréable à écouter. A mon sens, c’est cet “i7sas” dont on a le plus besoin aujourd’hui (il me rappelle d’ailleurs Saber Rebai quand il était jeune: tt ce qu’il avait c’était sa voix et “son i7sas” avec évidemment “akhla9ou al3aliya”, mais il était aussi timide et discret que marouen halla et il a réussi à conquérir le monde entier par “son i7sas et dif2 sawtou”) tous les derniers primes montrent que Marouen prendrait le relève à Saber (sans jamais en être un concurrent) et la façon dont il a chanté “Ajmal nisa eddonia” en est le meilleur témoin.
Au final, si qqn connait un lien pour regarder le prime de tte à l’heure, je lui serais reconnaissante.

c’est vrai que beaucoup préfèrent Saad et Yosra (juste pour pas avoir une finale tunisienne), mais en toute honneteté, après avoir vu les vidéos du prime, Marouen est bien meilleur que Saad, et il mérite plus que lui d’être en finale (enfin, c’est mon propre point de vue)!!

Even if I son’t like too much the Starac Maghreb, I like “their” Yusra.
This is happening the 2nd time I think we have very similar preferences

As for Starac Maghreb’s Yusra I’m listening to some other interpretations by her I find her on Superstar level but Allah ya moulana is something totally different. I haven’t heard those type of song for a long time and never though I’ll hear it by Starac contestant.
I don’t watch Starac Maghreb but I’m finding high quality songs in that part of the world completely unknown.

Especially that I’m a great fan of old Tunisian and algerian songs and like to hear them again and share them with other people.
