Future Arab SuperStar

The second episode of round 2 aired on Sunday, and as usual it was really fun to watch.

As announced the week before, the contestants had to sing in duos and they had to choose between Abd El Halim’s “Awel marra” or Fayrouz’s “Nassam 3alayna el hawa”.

After they finished singing, the 82 contestants were split into groups and each group got called up on stage to be told either that the whole group made it or the whole group didn’t.

The last group, made of 11 contestants, were given a second chance and they were asked to sing a song of their choice. Some of them made it through, but we’ll only know who in the next episode.

Anyway, in the end only 52 contestants have passed through to round 3 that airs next Sunday, where each contestant will get to sing an individual song.

After that only 20 will be making it to Stage 3 of the competition.
