Ibrahim El Hakami is Arab SuperStar 2005

The results for this season of Arab SuperStar have just been announced and the 3rd Arab SuperStar is Ibrahim El Hakami from Saudi Arabia.

Congratulations to Ibrahim El Hakami, he really deserves it.
I wish him the very best in his musical career.

Personally, I’m happy he won, as he’s the one I wanted between the two.
Shahd has a great voice, maybe the best of them all in this season, but it’s not just the voice that makes the artist, it’s also his personality and his loyalty. Ibrahim showed he was better than her in those areas making him a better rounded star. (no pun intended :P )

All of this season’s finalists were present and the show kicked off with each one of them singing a part of a song, which was really cool.

Later the two finalists performed one song each, which were:
- Ibrahim El Hakami: Samma’ni Ghiniyyeh (Abd El Majeed Abdallah)
- Shahd Barmada: Habbeina ou Ithabbeina (Mayyeda El Hinnawi)

Again Congratulations to Ibrahim El Hakami, and my best wishes to him, Shahd and all the other finalists in their careers. They were all really great and all deserve to have great musical careers.

Can someone explain to me what is meant by “Ibrahim deserved it cuz he had more loyalty”? How was shahd less loyal to the contest and show? And what was so awful about her personality, she was always smiling and friendly and even the judge Abdallah once commented on how poise she is. And bottom line, this show is about the best voice and singer..Shahd was hands down the better contestant. I think she should have won and it is a real shame she lost to Ibrahim. There is no comparison in their level of talent. Can we also remember Shahd is 17, if she’s this good now, there’s no stopping her. People who are picking on her and say they “hate” her (strong word btw), need to remember she is young and maybe does have a little growing up to do…even if I don’t think so. Shahd has an AMAZING voice and was seriously screwed in this competition. Another catostrohpe in voting in Superstar, maybe one year they will get it right…

It is unfortunate that it is all about MONEY. Congratulations to both.

Ibrahim is a good guy, but Shahed is by far the better singer. It’s disappointing to see good talents fail because of their origin. It was very well known from the beginning that eventually the superstar was going to be Saudi since Future TV has pretty much become a Saudi station (If you don’t believe me, watch their weather forecast). But again, I say that Ibrahim is a good singer but definitely not a superstar, Shahed surpasses him by alot; I am a musician, not Syrian, I am in fact Lebanese but Music has no geographical ties. I hope in the future, thye would allow the judges some percentage of the voting because people vote with their hearts and not with their ears. Future will tell whom the superstar is. Congrats to Ibrahim and good luck to Shahed.

Emani, just one example about loyalty. When Ayman asked them what their last word was before the result, all she did was thank who voted for her and her family. On the other hand, Ibrahim thanked the people who voted for him, the people who got him there, the jury, the whole team of SuperStar one by one, …etc. That shows how loyal he is to all these people for the effort they put in. She simply didn’t show that. That’s the difference.

Anyway, again I say that she has the best voice in the competition, and I’m not worried about her carving her way and place in the Arab music scene because she deserves it.

I know everybody is busy discussing who is the superstar , though it doesn’t matter to me as much the music that we enjoyed and the rise of new stars.
Anyways , my question was about the last song that Ibrahim singed after the announcement, whats the name of the song and the singer ? :)
Thank you in advance and we should all be thankful for witnessing the born of the new stars :)

so sorry that i had to see such an end for the best season of superstar yet!
MMM, I don’t think that this shows less loyalty and i really think shahd’s a very nice character and an awesome voice….ppl only started saying that she’s proud and finding defects in her ever since ziad said she was starting to be so(well, maybe that’s the only bad thing ziad did, but it’s his opinion anyway)
Shahd really deserved the title but this is what God wants for her and i’m sure it’s the best.

  9. 9 Ren Feb 6th, 2006 at 11:30 pm

It’s unfortunate that Ibrahim won the title. Shahed deserved it more… People are too funny focusing on irrelevant things. Ibrahim is carefree… he already has supporters from khaleej and will do well even without the title. Shahed needed all the help and support… Let’s keep in mind she’s only 17…
After all, this is about talent not place of origin…

Let’s be less judgmental on shahd. She is only 17. Place your self in her position with all the media’s hatered towards Syrians. She did an awesome job holding her head up. I think she deserves some credit and she was a superstar. She has an awesome voice! She deserved the title. Ibrahim is a nice guy, but he can’t come close. Voice wise to shahd. The show is about talent and voice not about kindness and how good some one shows he is. Good luck to all especially to Shahd and Ayman

mabrook to barhoom, and I wish shahd and everyone else the best because they were all great…

  13. 13 Jamil Feb 7th, 2006 at 12:34 am

Unfortunately in the Arab world its always about the $$$$$, supporters and who you know. I’m a musician, Ibrahim has a great voice but no comparison to what Shahd has to offer. The compliments she got through out the show from the judges were amazing. She is definitely a Super star and time will prove it. I’m surprised that Ibrahim even made it up too this week. Its just sad how things like this still happen.

  14. 14 singer Feb 7th, 2006 at 3:27 am

ya 7aram shahd….she deserved to win!!!!

    congratulations to barhooma though.

  15. 15 Joe Feb 7th, 2006 at 3:54 am

Exactly like I said here yesterday, Ibrahim will win because Saudia has more $$$$$$.
I have lost all confidence in Superstar.
    What a joke.
And they say why the ARABS ARE 1000 YRS behind the rest of the world. They are right.
We don’t vote with our ears we vote politically.
To be honest the Arabs don’t deserve to run and vote on such a good show. The rules must change .
    JOE

Relax guys and gals. MMM gave you the best example. Ayman even told Ibrahim that he deserves a superstar of speach for that. I’d say that he’s a bit older than Shahd though and that might gave him an advantage on what to say. However, Shahd is one tough cookie and if you noticed how Fadia’s comments on her in the last few episdoes were asking her to stay down to earth a little more.

  17. 17 Chadia Feb 7th, 2006 at 7:17 am

I have to agree 100% with Joe. I was surprised episode after episode that Ibrahim made it to the next round. He was not a bad contestant, but those who parted the show were, i think, deserved to stay in the contest more than Ibrahim. Certainly Shahed deserved to be superstar over Ibrahim. What a shame.

At least with the show over, we can see who the genuine superstar is, as the contestants each release their own songs.

  18. 18 ahmad Feb 7th, 2006 at 3:32 pm

SHAHD u r the superstar.ibrahim dont deserve the title.

  19. 19 Medusa Feb 7th, 2006 at 4:51 pm

So, Ibrahim won.. Wow.. I liked him, but seriously now, is he really a better singer than Shahd?-I don’t think so. But then again, I stopped believing in the “vote” system on that show when Haitham got booted out as early as he did. After that, having read about Ayman’s exit (IMO), because of the phone line being blocked till 11PM, made it seem that the way we (whoever we stands for) cannot handle even voting on a talent show.. How unfortunate and scary is that?!!

Ibrahim SuperStar or Shahd SuperStar, no problem, Shahd has the best voice, an exceptional voice, Ibrahim is a real artist, and Ayman is also an artist.

I think that the winner will be obliged to sign the contract with
Futur, but the loser will have the choice of his producers. Isn’t an
    advantage for the loser?

    Good luck for all.

Hi all - Ibrahim must be so carefree about this whole thing that he never showed up to the Future’s morning show today. He were expecting him for an interview but I guess he partyed so hard or he does not care anymore that he missed his first interview after becoming the 2006 superstar… what a commitment! I think that’s funny!

  26. 26 yasmeen habaq Feb 7th, 2006 at 8:32 pm

hey guys…. congrats to ibrahim but so many people were better.. i think a7mad or shahd or ayman should have won from my musical experience. but it wasnt about that it was about the $$money$$. i like ibrahim and i wish him the best of luck. i cant wait until superstar 4.. if it comes to america this year i will try out sooo wait for me my name is yasmeen habaq,,,,,=)

hey all you people that are judging shahd….. put you self in her position,,,,,, shes 17 and in front of lights cameras and soooo many people.not to mention the pressure. think of what they had to go through… being seconds from something that is going to turn your life around completelly….people plz think before you judge people. and ibrahim said that a guy let him in.

  28. 28 Javi Moya Feb 7th, 2006 at 10:58 pm

today I have seen him on spanish television :-)

but the reported made a mistake… they said:
