Future Arab SuperStar

The second episode from the second stage of Arab SuperStar on Future TV just ended.

70 candidates passed to this second round after the previous round of selections, and only 50 will pass to the next round of selections.

In this episode, the candidates were grouped in duos and performed together on stage.
They had the choice to perform one of two songs:
- Asmar Ya Asmarani (Abd El Halim Hafez)
- Ah Ya Leel (Shireen)

The judges didn’t give any immediate feedback, they just took notes for later discussion, and after all the candidates finished singing, the judges met together to choose the first set of candidates to leave.

The candidates were then called on stage in groups of 10 and either given the good news that they all passed or the bad news that they all failed.
But, after 40 where chosen, and when the last group came up, the judges said that they had a difficulty choosing between them and they asked them to sing again individually.

The judges then left to meet and decide between them, and they left the result for the next episode.

What’s weird though is that they only have 40, and they’re supposed to be taking 50 to the next round, so the 10 of the last group should pass for them to have their 50. That’s unless they changed their mind about the number to pass to the third and final round of the second stage.

I totally agree when it comes to most of the people who passed, and disagree about some of the people who failed.
I’m really happy to see that many Tunisians are passing and getting far into the competition. Hopefully we’ll have a number of Tunisians in the finals
