Future Arab Superstar : Finals : Prime 11 : The Results

Future TV is back for me, and the results for the 11th prime were just announced.

And…
The following candidates were called into the danger zone, as I expected:

- Ranim Qoteit (Egypt)
- Hadi Aswad (Syria)

And the candidate who had to leave today was:

- Ranim Qoteit (Egypt)

Something I also expected, although it’s a big shame to see him go.
Next will be Hadi Aswad, leaving Ammar and Ayman to battle it out for the final.

The candidates will be visiting Syria this week as part of their Arab tour.

The guest next week will be: Mueen Shreef.

3. 3 mimo Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:20 pm

I was sad to see ranim leave.. I wish him the best of luck and cannot wait until his cd comes out.
Hamdella ammar is moving on to the semi-final. next out will probably be hadi aswad if the trend continues. good luck to them all and GO AMMAR GO!

4. 4 kitkat Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:20 pm

hi everyone,
this is the sadest voting episode that i have ever seen. and this is the first time i have ever cried over something like this. i honestly could not believe it. ranim? i really can’t believe it. i dunno if i’m gonna be watching the show very intently anymore and i’m probably not going to vote unless i hear a performance that blows my mind. i expect that i’ll hear one or two of those kinds of performances from ammar but i know that i woun’t enjoy the show very much after ranim:(. i know that there is still talent left but i don’t think anyone compares with ranim. i really wish him all the success in the world. i know that he’s going to be something great but it just makes me cry to see a talent like him leave.
take care everyone

5. 5 Ahmad Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:32 pm

Salam again,
sorry KitKat,Calabala, and dreamboy, sure he was great. he did great and you won’t wait long until you find his Cd since he’s one of the top 4.
take care

6. 6 King 7ashash Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:33 pm

First I would like to start off by saying, Ranim, it was sad to see him go, but I look forward to his CD :) and trust me, its going to be 10 times better than Hadi’s or Aymans…Having said that, Kitkat, since your second choice now is ammar, I know u wont be interested in watching much anymore, but Ammar is the next best thing, and Im sure you would rather him wining over the habla guy, so Vote for Ammar if you still believe in justice!! :)

7. 7 Eman Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:33 pm

i cant believe it! first muhannad..now ranim:( it is really sad 2 see him leave he really deseves 2 be in the top 2. i just am surprised that ayman is still here and hadi was in the bottom. i dont know how ayman is still there and we see ranim leave! It is really not aymans fault that he is still here but it just bothers me sooo much 2 see him stay and ranim leave:( well i wish him the best of luck in his career and it doesnt matter that he is no. 4 cuz he will be more successful than some other ppl that sing and have record deals cuz of his voice:) So we wish u the best of luck ranim:) and now the only person w/ talent is ammar!! GO AMMAR!! so i wish the rest luck as well!

peace out:)

8. 8 Lulu Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:34 pm

hadi hiyeh awaneen el le3beh!it’s a shame he left!bas really…top 4 is great!

9. 9 Ahmad Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:39 pm

I think the order of the votes was Ayman,Ammar,Hadi, and Ranim
tell me I’m wrong !!

10. 10 King 7ashash Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:40 pm

How did you come up with that conclusion Ahmad?

11. 11 Ahmad Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:42 pm

because she told Ayman that he’s safe before everyone else, then told Ranim he’s in danger, then it was Ammar and Hadi left (that means they’re close) Hadi was called to danger and Ammar paased to the safe

12. 12 King 7ashsh Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:44 pm

I dont know, maybe, bas could we be looking too much into it? lol..

13. 13 Ahmad Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:45 pm

but you never know, according to last week voting predictions,Ammar and Ranim were supposed to be in danger but it seems Jordan’s visit gave Ammar a push..so maybe Syria’s visit is gonna give push to Hadi..can’t really tell!!

14. 14 King 7ashash Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:46 pm

LOL< if thats the case Ahmad, then Im going to start making my fake me out email addresses for the next two weeks starting now….

15. 15 Ahmad Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:46 pm

yeah I’m telling you man,it’s worse than cigarettes and 7asheesh;)lol

16. 16 Eman Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:47 pm

hello

…ahmad ur wrong - at least i hope so lol:) i really dont want ayman 2 be no.1 he should have left today! i do like ayman but not before many other superstar contestants:) well will see what will happen next week - hopefully no more surprises of good ppl leaveing:) Go Ammar!:)

peace

17. 17 Ahmad Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:48 pm

I guess I will start using the phone next week, ofcourse after consulting with the house reps,if they all agreed:))

18. 18 King 7ashash Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:48 pm

No, from what I heard, they dont pick whose going into the danger zone first and second depending on who is first and so on….I think its just a random selection process…. and it happened to be Ammar and Hadi in the danger zone.

19. 19 King 7ashash Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:49 pm

as many times as I have tried to vote over the phone, I could never get a connection!

20. 20 Ahmad Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:49 pm

Hope you are right Eman and King!

21. 21 King 7ashash Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:52 pm

well, thats how it was last year, they told Rowaida that she was safe, then it was between diana and mel7im zain, mel7im left, and diana won the final! so yeah I dont think there is an actual rank by votes. which is weird, I really hoped they would announce it, but I guess not.

22. 22 Ahmad Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:53 pm

try this King
1-866-9000-900 and then when it asks you to dial your number dial 011-239-444-4484 ,my brother tried before and it worked bit it took him like seven minuites to get to the option he wants, but hopefully it will be shorter now since only 3 left

23. 23 King 7ashash Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:55 pm

thanks man, anyways, im outta here, hope you all have a wonderfull evening!

peace ya’ll

24. 24 Ahmad Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:57 pm

you too have a great evening,King
3 more hours for me:(

25. 25 Eman Aug 9th, 2004 at 8:59 pm

hello!

king i never really tried voting on the phone cuz i heard it cost alot of money for just 1 vote and i think it takes along time 2 get connected and anyway thats why superstar should do the system like american idol. Where they give them numbers u click on the phone for who u wanna vote for and when there r like 3to 4 ppl and they each sing 3 or more songs u can vote on three different lines unlimited for free:) it was like a 1866 number which is toll free. well go ammar!:)

peace

26. 26 Ahmad Aug 9th, 2004 at 9:17 pm

for all Ranim fans, this is a gift for you from Ammar website
http://www.ammarhasan.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=73

27. 27 niveen Aug 9th, 2004 at 9:31 pm

thanks Ahmad, gotta say that it is obviously ammar the one whose getting the most votes bcz Rania and Ayman are trying to make it seem tricky or something but anyway I would say let not predict anything

28. 28 Ahmad Aug 9th, 2004 at 9:40 pm

I hope that’s true too,Niveen

29. 29 Crush Aug 9th, 2004 at 10:08 pm

If Ayman won the title I will never ever waste my time watching this show again.
Ayman the superstar???Im gonna be sick.

30. 30 ghada Aug 9th, 2004 at 10:48 pm

Dear All..hi..I missed you all here..kitkat, ahmad, king, eman, abufarweh, calabala, niveen and all..Abbood missed you the most :-)

Ranim was really a nice guy and deserved to stay, but someone has to leave, it is almost the end. 7abibti Calabala don’t be sad ok? he made it to the top four, elhamdullilah, we will soon get his CD. :-)
Guys, 7abaybi, i read many comments in the previous blog about Ammar and him “yesh7ad votes” or people feeling pity or something. Abbood ya ghali, you know my opinion :-)
Let me just say something to clarify, especially to dear Ruby, 7abibitna kolna :-) ..Ammar since the biginning got the highest voting rate since round one,24.6% rate. All the past 15 episodes he always got the highest votes and never been in danger once(inshallah never), so i don’t think that the segment was for him to get “she7adet votes”, sorry about that. I think anybody who hasn’t seen his or her mom or dad for long will feel like this, nothing to act or brag in such an issue. Ammar had a lot of attention since the first time he appeared on TV, i am not defending him, but this is the truth, and his visit to jordan didn’t push, he has been always like this. The guy is talented and moh’d lafi didn’t get the pity though he was a palestinian. People like Ammar, and i hope some people will realize that he is a good person and got a future.
I don’t mind any of the remaining contestants to be the superstar, they are all fine. But guys, it is just funny how we relate things and i believe a lot of people like ayman and hadi and that’s why they are still there, not because of anything else other than that they are nice.
Peace all..love.

31. 31 dream boy Aug 9th, 2004 at 11:05 pm

thanx

32. 32 dude Aug 9th, 2004 at 11:59 pm

Excellent. It’s good that Ranim left. He didn’t deserve to go this far and I doubt that he will be among the people returning to perform as guests on Superstar 3. Oh and Dream Boy- learn to organize all of your ideas better. I mean this only as a constructive criticism to help you improve your English among ordinary english-speakers. Peace out- Dude

33. 33 salma Aug 10th, 2004 at 12:47 am

guys i want to tell you something, i’m now about to faint bec of crying for ranim, and i just opened this site so that your comments may help me get over it, but what do i find…dude’s comment, i know there are other comments above and thank you so mcuh ahmed for what’s written about ranim…guys, you know me i don’t like to be rude, i always respect others’ opinions but i lost control i’m sorry dude for that comment but i really had to say something….i feel that i’ll faint
thanx

34. 34 dream boy Aug 10th, 2004 at 12:48 am

hi 4 all
dude i think u must be polite in ur chat if u don’t know how to be polite i will learn u that
about ranim and u said he didn’t deserve to go this far this is bad remark 4 u coz if u understand what is good voice can sing u didn’t say that but ranim have something u haven’t it something called sence i hope u can clean ur ears and can hear good

thanx 4 all ppl said good comments 4 ranim and he will be great singer by ur support

thanx

35. 35 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 12:55 am

hi everyone,
hi ghada where have you been? king, i know that ammar is the next best thing but i will only vote if i hear something that blows my mind and i will probably hear a performance like that from ammar and if i do, then i will vote. i know that this is not the end of the world and quite honestly, i’m glad ranim left. if he would have stayed, people were going to say oh well, he just won b/c of this or b/c of that and they were going to deny his talent and i really don’t want that. and i’m sure people are going to say the same about whoever wins just like they did with diana korazon. if ammar wins, people will say that he won because he’s palestinian and if ayman wins, people will say it’s b/c he’s libyain and if hadi wins, people will say it’s b/c he’s good looking or b/c he’s syrian. so i think eno ashraf la ranim eno tala3. and the biggest example for me that he will be successful are sa3oud and mel7im. they didn’t win, but in my eyes (as well as many other people’s)they are way better than who was superstar and runner up.
dude- i think that ranim will prove you wrong. he has so much talent and will continue to be a star. and i am almost positive that ranim, ayman, hadi, and ammar will be guests on the show just like sa3oud, mel7im, diana, and rowayda were.
take care everyone

36. 36 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 12:58 am

ps… dude- we’re not in english class here.

ahmad… thanks for the link but it’s in arabic… can you please translate it for me? thanks

37. 37 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 1:02 am

Salam 4 all,
I totally disagree with you Dude. Ranim wasn’t part of my golden quartet (Ammar,Hussam,Muhannad, and Abeer),yet he has a great talent,in fact they all have, but what distinguishes Ranim from the rest, especially recently, the smooth voice that he has that makes one relax in a great way. with his voice and look he reminds me of the great Karem Ma7moud and Mo7ammad Fawzi. I think Ranim being on the final two with Ammar would be a great plus for the program. Ammar can take you to the highest mountains with his great voice in mawaweel and jabali songs, yet only Ranim can take you to the deepest oceans with his smoothnes!I was just listenning to the results again and when it reached the segment of the most beautiful moments for him in the program I was more than confident that another charming star was born in our nation!
Added to his talented voice his manners (teebet akhla2uh) and way he faced the results, altogether makes a real superstar regardless of holding the title
Again I wish him all the best and I’ll be waiting for his CD!
Peace and Love

38. 38 niveen Aug 10th, 2004 at 1:03 am

you guys, did anyone read “sultan tarab” comment on the previous blog, i cant stand it when people make a conspiracy out of everything, there is a conspiracy in the superstar, there is a conspiracy in the star academy, there is a conspiracy behind that movie or tv show or whatever. nseena kol mashakelna wa homoona el waraha israel wa america wa sar hamna el mu2amarat elle betseer fe el superstar, and instead of enjoying the program, everyone has to act so smart to find out all about the mu2amara!!!!!!!!!!!!! walla, i dont really care whether the decision is already made or not about who the superstar is as long as he is gonna be talented enough.

39. 39 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 1:03 am

sure Kitkat, just give me 5 minuites, and I’ll be back with the transaltion Inshalla

40. 40 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 1:05 am

:)lol Niveen..yeah I read it and preferred to ignore it

41. 41 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 1:08 am

hi again… thanks ahmad. and i couldn’t agree more with your comment. :)
yeah niveen, it’s actually funny about the whole conspiracy theory thing.
i just found out that the differance in votes between the votes for ranim and hadi was only 1250 votes.
thanks again ahmad.

42. 42 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 1:14 am

Salam again,
this is for KitKat,Lulu,Hannah,Eman, and all non-Arabic reading brothers and sisters in our community;0it’s a translation for what is said about Ranim in Ammar’s website

45. 45 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 1:28 am

thanks ahmad… what would we do without you? i really appreciate you translating everything for me. do you know how long it took sa3oud abu sultan to release his cd? cuz i think that’s how long it’s gonna take ranim and i heard that moustafa is going to beirut on the 15th to make his music video and that muhannad has already started on his cd. i dunno how true that is but it’s what i heard. thanks again ahmad:)

46. 46 ghada Aug 10th, 2004 at 1:36 am

7abibti kitkat wallah you are right :-) i agree with you. Oh, i couldn’t sleep well tonight, cos i didn’t see my dear Abbood’s new comment :-(
wenak ya abufarweh? ..anyway good luck to the trio.

Hey guys by the way do u watch NEW TV in the states? MMM u should see this program in tunis for sure, “star club” wallah it is a nice show for talented people and nice voices, two tunisian won ya MMM :-) and one veryyy cute jordanian guy too. hey Abbood..miss you 3anjad. ;-)

47. 47 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 2:04 am

Salam,
:)lol Ghada,I thought the hardest sentence to translate is “shoo fee ma fee”:)lol
KitKat,you’re very welcome dear.I’m not sure if I can answer your question,I think it was released around April,if I was right, then I’d say 7 mounths. I think Muhannad CD is gonna be a self release not with future, same for everybody except the final 4. but there gonna be a one single released for each one of them with videoclip by future. I think Moustafa is there to participate in the final episode just like last year, a group song.
Peace and Love 4 all

48. 48 Lulu Aug 10th, 2004 at 2:10 am

thanks ahmad..al moutarjim!!promise we will learn arabic soon…ma heik ya banat????!!

51. 51 ghada Aug 10th, 2004 at 2:23 am

oh Ahmad, :-) “shoo fi ma fi” is dangerous. LOL
ok let’s try: shu=what/ fi=in/ ma=no/ fi=in/ ..aha..yess i got it :-) so it is like this, pure english= what is in no in? right ahmad?
i wonder what could be kboush exactly in english, not a traditional word. Ok got to learn some more english here :-) oh..baytouti? ok, ahmad, what do u think? aha, homey :-)
U know guys, i wonder if we translate all fairuz and wadi3′ safi songs to english, LOL, wallahi yeda7ako 3aleina :-) it sounds so weird in english, khalina ya 3am 3arrabbi :-) a7san.

52. 52 Lulu Aug 10th, 2004 at 2:36 am

i will…AHEM AHEM!! :S

53. 53 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 2:36 am

Salam,
:)Ghada,It was once said that the hardest thing to translate is feelings, and poetry is way of expressing feelings that not only carries regular words,it carries a lot of idioms and cultural expressions that other nations might not share..and exactly like you said it might sound real funny. tanslating poetry is not something new,and one of the greatest people in doing that is Salama AlJayousi (what’s up King;)she did a great job to make it as easy as possible for English readers to read Ma7moud Darweesh and Nizar Qabani and others, yet as someone who can read in both Languages..nothing is like reading in the original Language of the writer, especially Arabic…just a small example,The Holy Quran,I know you’d say this a divine it’s different, but I think no language is any close to the beauty of the Arabic Language.
well,it was just an opinion I wanted to share with you
Peace and Love

54. 54 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 2:42 am

hi everyone… seems like only ghada, ahmad and lulu are on…
well, thanks again ya 7abeeby ya ahmad… you make this whole arabic writing thing a lot easier. hi ya lulu… so when u learn arabic, can you teach me? and if anyone depends on us (or me at least) for translations, i think they’re going to be waiting a while…lol! hi ya ghada:) how are you 7abeebty? i really enjoyed kbash el totey last night but i can honestly say that i only understood about half of it lol! funny how i can enjoy something that i didn’t understand:) like right now, i am watching this lebanese series that i really can’t understand very much of and one of my fav. actors is mazen m3adum and i can barely understand what he says. funny!
well take care everyone

55. 55 Lulu Aug 10th, 2004 at 2:43 am

lool ghada…here is a little taste of it…
I loved u until I forgot the summer,(habaytak tan sit el noym) the moon and us are neighbors, (nehna wel amar jiran) are you awake ,wind?(faye2 ya hawa)
i can keep going on…but i’ll stop for the sake of humanity!!pretty fun actually..try it out ;)

56. 56 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 2:47 am

wallah ya ahmad, i agree. the arabic language is so beautiful and different than any other language. i feel so bad for myself because i can’t read or write it. i feel like writing arabic is like drawing the words on the page b/c the letters are so different than any other language. and when i speak arabic in front of my non arab friends, they all tell me that it’s the prettiest language they’ve ever heard in their lives. i guess it’s just something about it that makes it beautiful.

57. 57 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 2:49 am

:) that was a good start Lulu, yubasher bimustaqbal baher wa 3azeem InshAllah:)lol.
So maybe one day I’ll be driving my car down the street listening to listener’s choice in the radio and the song would be (the moon and us are neighbours):))))

59. 59 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 2:56 am

Dear KitKat,you know that some of our “enemies” say that Arabs are only good in talking. it’s an insult and a compliment at the same time!! but I’d say even the compliment side of it have disappeared nowdays,we’ve screwed our language biig time:(

60. 60 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 2:58 am

hey lulu,
i thought that french was loughat el 7ob. hey guys check out the other comments page and see who they “picked” as superstar for this year and according to this guy, we’re finally gonna see a lebanese superstar in 2005. interesting

61. 61 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 2:59 am

what do you mean ahmad?

62. 62 Lulu Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:05 am

looool…that’s too funny…

Salam,
is there a map of direction for the program and how they pick the winner.is it based on geographical or political or geopolitical issues or what?,is it like first Blad Elsham and then some other region.with all respect to the Sultan, for me it makes sense the way it’s going right now…hey don’t come and kick me:)I meant to say reading how the preferences of our Arab listeners and checking the chatrooms ,it makes very sense for me.I’m not saying I like it..I’m saying it matches elzoo2 el3arabi elly metnayel biseteen neela (translate Ghada aand Lulu for KitKat:)lol
check the way some groups are organized more than others, some contestant didn’t even have a support group, some others have it after they left the program, and so on

64. 64 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:11 am

hey mr. links (i mean you ahmad lol) can you please tell me if you know a place where i can find sheet music for arabic songs… you know, the classics. so if you can help me, i would appreciate it. thanks

65. 65 Lulu Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:13 am

elzoo2 el3arabi elly metnayel biseteen neela: the arabic taste that is metnayel in sixty nila!
;)

66. 66 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:13 am

ok KitKat,I meant to say one of the powerful things in our nation is the language and the ability to deliver a speech. The comment was made on behal of Late president AbdulNaser if I’m not mistaken.that we’re good only in talking.assuming that this is true, even that part we don’t have it now days, our youth can read you a wa2el kfouri song by heart and can’t recite a verse from the Holy Quran or read any part of some fine Arabic poetry.

67. 67 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:16 am

if you wanna buy
www.maqam.com
but if you want some free stuff I’ll try to look in my favorite list at work tomorrow,I think I stopped by some a while ago,and might still have it

68. 68 lol Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:17 am

It was REALLY sad to see Ranim leave..i was hoping for Ayman to go but this is the way it went. So Ranim fans…choose wisely…Vote 4 Ammar Hasan..because he is our only hope and the true Superstar.
GO AMMAR!!!

69. 69 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:18 am

Maqam has the work of fairuz and some nice folk Shami music and the work of Marcel Khalifa (Gadal) and others but expensive:(

70. 70 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:20 am

LOL lulu… u crack me up! i LOVE ur translatio. i think i like it more than the arabic saying itself. lol! hey ya ahmad… what are you trying to say? that we’re just bad teenagers?lol j’k. i understand what you mean… I for one can def. recite wael kfoury but i must be honest… i couldn’t read arabic peotry or read any part of the Bible in arabic… sad i know but i can’t help it.

71. 71 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:25 am

:) LuLu, you got -5 ,you skipped metnayel, that was the keyword:)lol
KitKat,you might have an excuse, you might:) but what you say about people who were born and raised back home? Wallah eshy be7azen:(

72. 72 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:26 am

thanks ya ahmad:) and lol, i am one ranim fan that has turned into a super mahdoom voter and if i enjoy any other performance, then i will def. vote for them… but i think that all ammar fans can rest assured. he has never been in danger and i doubt that he ever will be and i think that his chance of wining through votes is very high. and if not through votes like sultan is saying, then he’s gonna win b/c the results are set. so since i have no one to root for anymore, i guess that i will join everyone here in this and say GO AMMAR.

73. 73 Ahmad Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:28 am

I think I’m out for now
Wish everybody with the average of (-5GMT) a lovely and sweet night, everybody else I wish you a great day
Peace and Love:)

74. 74 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:29 am

well ahmad, there’s no excuse in forgetting your native language and that’s what makes me sad but those people who were born and raised in arabic countries should def. be ashamed of themselves if they can’t read and write the language that they’ve grown up with. it’s true… eshya te7zin

75. 75 kitkat Aug 10th, 2004 at 3:31 am

goodnight ya ahmad. i think that i’m gonna leave too. good night everyone and sweet dreams:)
c u tommorrow. and don’t forget to watch 3alam el saba7 with ranim tommorrow.

76. 76 sheryn Aug 10th, 2004 at 4:29 am

Hi guys! *hugs* to all, ahmad, kitkat, calabala, hannah, and company!

Ranim’s out, sadly, y didn’t they just eliminate the Libyan dude?

Hmmm hadi’s next? is that the usual sequence? i mean when someone’s in the danger zone and was not eliminated for this week for example is understandably out the following week? or is there a possibility that he won’t be eliminated? What’s the deal here? :-D

Im still for Hadi, inshaAllah he’ll remain in the finals.

Kisses to all

ciao

77. 77 ghada Aug 10th, 2004 at 5:51 am

Abbood didn’t show up yet :-(
Anyway, hi again :-) kitykatty 7abibti wallah im fine, just busy :-) miss u. Lulu, yallah join the club of translating LOL. :-) Oh Ahmad, ya 3eyni 3layk :-) that;s why i said khalina ya 3ammi 3arrabi :-)
Why the blog isn’t crowded anymore? :-(
Ahmad i agree that there is nothing more beautiful than our native language, the way we can express our feelings and all. I agree, if u read Gibran’s English works, they are wonderful, but when u read the original arabic, it is the masterpiece of the whole world in my eyes, full of love and feeling. So language makes a huge difference. Just see how an arabic mother betdale3 her little baby (esp. the lebanese one) :-) and the english mommy :-) big gap :-) of course the arabic mommy will win with her expressive loving feelings :-) anyway, why did i bring the mommy’s issue? nevermind :-)
Yeah, there is nothing like the original.
Guys what are u gonna do after the superstar is over, i mean are u gonna come to the blog? or let’s find a new program, what do u think?
I do think i can survive without reading Abbood’s comments :-) Ahmad shu ra2yak? w shu fi ma fi? :-)
kity and lulu i think we all have Ammar in common? LOL i mean Ayman is good too, i liked the song”balash teboosni fi 3enaya”, i think if Ammar would sing it, then the song would commit suicide, Ammar will fit only with the strong jabali songs, i loved talou 7babna talou from him and the mawwal. :-)
yallah peace kity,lulu,abu7meid(ahmad)..and last but not least abbood.

78. 78 Calabala Aug 10th, 2004 at 7:03 am

Hello everyone: ghada 7ayaty welcome back to the blog, I missed u a lot, Kitkat, A7mad, lol, Lulu, Sheryn welcome back as well, where have u been 7abeebty??? I missed u too, Abbood, Dream Boy our beautiful Ranim supporter, king 7ashash and his “fake” fiancee Queen 7ashasheh, Eman, Salma, Hannah,Mimo and everyone else (sorry if I forgot to mention the name).
Wallahy, my dear friends, I can’t describe how sad I am cuz Ranim (the diamond as Mr.3abdallah called him) is leaving :( :’( :( :’(. Ya3ny its 7aram to lose such warm and beautiful voice … But what can I say??? NOTHING other than GOOD LUCK RANIM IN UR FUTURE, U R A STAR NO MATTER WHAT, AND INSHALLAH I’M SURE THAT U’LL BE SUCCESSFUL CUZ AS U SAID “ALFANN 7ADARA” :)
Dude - As sad as I am for Ranim leaving the show, as mad as I got when I read ur comment. Ya3nyy wallahy u need to clean urs ears and listen carefully next time cuz u really don’t know what true art and real artists mean. And hun, for GOD’S sake, please try to show more respect to ppl’s feelings cuz ur message to dream boy was really inappropriate and unaaceptable, the guy was expressing his own feelings and sorrows innocently, while u were making fun of his English, DAAAAH … What’s wrong with u, I don’t think that u were born knowing how to speak and write English fluently!!!!
Anyways, I am burning from what I read in Dude’s comment, so I’ll leave for now. Thanks to all of u for ur support to Ranim, I owe u guys big time :) :D
GGOD NIGHT EVERYONE AND SWEET DREAMS :) :D

79. 79 Abbood Aug 10th, 2004 at 7:35 am

Dude— what u said to dreamboy was uncalled for. i think you owe him an apology. what do you think?

lol— why don’t you take everything out of my head and put everything you want instead?!

I didn’t see the results last night. I was joining ahl el-kahf for the longest sleep i had in a VERY long time. So Ranim is out and noisy Ammar is still away from the danger zone… what a shame. Ghada and the rest, I know that you love Ammar… but seriously his voice is nothing but noise to me. It magically raises my stress level. Focus on his voice, it’s VERY thick (Ghaleeeeeeth). Do you guys remember the Saudi dude, Abdulmajeed? Ammar is not far from him in terms of a thick noisy voice. Just compare Abeer’s relaxing and soothing voice that takes you to different dimensions with Ammar’s ear drumb hammerings. Ammar will make a good duet couple with Ruawiada 3a6iyya. They blow up your speakers every time you play their album.

Ghada ya ghalia, don’t get mad at me when I criticize Ammar. Obviously, I don’t see in him what most of you are seeing. He just doesn’t fit my superstar criteria. It was mentioned even by his fans that he has weaknesses that he needs to work on… well, if he does that, then and only then, i will change the way i see him.

It’s true that I don’t like Ammar, but I still like those who like him :-)

80. 80 Sheryn Aug 10th, 2004 at 11:17 am

hugs again to calabala and all. Im fine dear, just terribly stressed out with studies and all those shitty requirements.
Anyways, hw’s everybody doing? Ok abood basically said what i wanted to say, hehe, that’s it, there’s something about his voice that’s a bit too annoying to the ears. But anyways with all due respect to Ammar fans in the room, i won’t comment any further.

*sigh* i wish i can just sit down and relax and watch the superstar thingy.

Never been so staggered.

Peeps, i just hope that this season would really be a fruitful one, with people voting really wisely, we rarely see Arabs ‘vote’ if u know what i mean, this is an opportunity for them to vote PRAGMATICALLY, and not make decisions influenced by their emotions. geeezz…

*yawns* c u later folks…

loev u all! :-D God bless

81. 81 dream boy Aug 10th, 2004 at 11:37 am

82. 82 ghada Aug 10th, 2004 at 11:43 am

Abbood ya ghali
:-) it is okay..i don’t mind that u don’t like Ammar, this is democracy here :-) and whatever you say is “samn 3ala 3asal”, and whether u like him or not, we love you here for sure :-)
Calabalaaa ya amareen inti :-) wallahi ana kont khayfa 3aliki cos i knew u were gonna be sad for ranim :-( bas thank God, u r fine, we gonna miss his cute smile “we7na a3deen?” :-)
love all.

83. 83 ghada Aug 10th, 2004 at 11:46 am

oh by the way, sheryn u seem to be really cool w mahdoomeh :-) i like ur comments. oh Ahmad how far have u reached with the translating? did u get the right meaning of the whole sentence? ;-)

84. 84 Abu Farweh Aug 10th, 2004 at 12:18 pm

My Dear Critics,

Ghada ya Ghada I’m jealous “Abbood ya Ghali” man….IR7AM YA ABBOOD ;-) .

Ok who cares which contestant stays and which one leaves. We will soon have new bunch of talented artists i.e Superstar 2 graduates who, I hope will pleasantly surprise us with a an amazing variety of quality lyrics and tunes. This has become the base from which a “standard” of quality voices is created. Each one is special in its own way and deserves recognition. Our gratitude to a panel of qualified judges, we can say that someone has at least evaluated them before they sneak into our homes virtue of our permeable TV sets. Personally like a colorful array of music ranging from Abil Wahab and Um Kolthoom to S3ood Abu Sultan, Mo’3een Shrief and many others. Unanimously we can say that we are sick of the No-Name artists (AKA Hishik Bishshik) and their half naked women who have infested our ears and tainted our satellite channels. This “hot-of-the-press” addition of artists will undoubtedly enrich our Arabic music library. Life is boring if you view it through the same color lens. We can only experience the true beauty of things through contrast. For that matter and judging by the many passionate posts in this forum and elsewhere I say that Superstar 2 is an overwhelming success.

Just arriving from blazing Jericho and enjoying the relative coolness of Jerusalem and the forum this is Abu Farweh - GOOD DAY

85. 85 Sheryn Aug 10th, 2004 at 1:12 pm

Hi ghada dear! :-) *hugz* How r u doing? HEHE i understood that, finally i can understand some ARabic. :-) Enty kaman kteer mahdoomeh ya 7abebti, is that correct? correct my grammatical mistakes peeps! :-)
Ahmad, wer r u? Wer’s Hannah? The rest of the underground gang? HIHIHI
I feel like jogging a mile tomorrow and releasing all those negative energies, they’re killing me.
stress, stress, and stress
This is my only refuge, yeah, the NET.
Gota scram again.

God bless u all, *smooches*
TC

86. 86 King 7ashash Aug 10th, 2004 at 1:13 pm

Well, It’s good to see a nice and civil expression of opinions for the most part ( excluding you dude ;) lol….
To answer dream boys question about the contestants being in the final, yeah, Last years show they had all day events leading to the prime at which point they interviewd all the contestants, caught up with them and so on.

I truly enjoyed Lulu’s translations of Songs, quiet funny I might add.
Niveen, conspiracy theorys, its an arabic way of life, I think we suffered and were back stabbed for so many years, that we now expect it to happen, and thats how we come up with our different theorys. Well, atleast thats what I came up with when I was having molokhieyeh……

87. 87 Sheryn Aug 10th, 2004 at 1:14 pm

btw Abu Farweh, nice recital :-) HEHHEHE

two thumbs up ;-)

Abu farweh, nicely said, but I swear everytime I read your posts, im expecting a signoff that goes like this,

Thanks for watching CBS News, this is Tom Brokaw signing off….

90. 90 King 7ashash Aug 10th, 2004 at 1:44 pm

Contrary to what alot of you have said about ammar, this was on the future website:

good morning everyone,
hi ghada… i miss you too:) hi sheryn, long time since you’ve been on.
abbood… i agree about rowaiyda but i think ammar is a little better than she is… i mean i can actually LISTEN to him but i can’t even SEE rowaiyda without leaving the room (all respects to her fans of course:)) but i really think that the show lost a lot with ranim leaving. i actually think that the show started losing when hossam shami left b/c since then only the good people left. i really hope they have a romantic song episode… that’ll be interesting.
i just finished watching 3alam el saba7 with ranim… i really think that he will be like 3bd el 7alim. and i think that his cd will be the best one from the superstar graduates… his and maybe muhannad’s.
calabala… hi 7abeebty… how are you? i was so sad yesterday after the voting that i actually cried over ranim. i was going to seriously throw something at the tv. it is really such a shame to see him gone.
take care everyone

121. 121 King 7ashash Aug 10th, 2004 at 5:09 pm
