Future Arab Superstar : Finals : Prime 8

Another great episode of SuperStar just ended. This one was for modern Arab songs and the guest was Shireen.

The episode started off with a medley of Shireen’s songs, and then each candidate sang 2 songs.

My favourites from this episode were:

- Muhannad Mshallah (Syria)
- Housam Madaniyyah (Syria)
- Raneem Quteit (Egypt)
- Ammar Hassan (Palestine)

In the video segment before each performance, they asked the candidates to try and write a song and sing it.
Raneem’s song was my favourite from all the candidate’s songs.

The candidates sang the following songs:

- Ayman Al A’tar : Hayyarouni (Saber El Rbai)
- Housam Madaniyyah : Sa’ban Alayya (Amr Diab)
- Ammar Hassan : Jeet Bwa’tak (Milhim Barakat)
- Brigitte Yaghi : Sihr El Gharam (Dina Hayek)
- Hadi Aswad : Hazzak Ya Albi (Fadl Shaker)
- Muhannad Mshallah : Ghamarteeni B’lotfik (Ridha)
- Raneem Quteit : Ti’dar Titkallem (Amr Diab)

Then Shireen sang her song “Ah Ya Leel”.

And then the candidates went on with the following songs:

- Ayman Al A’tar : Ishi’tak (Fadl Shaker)
- Housam Madaniyyah : Lalla (Kathem El Saher)
- Ammar Hassan : Bhibbik ou Bghar (Assi El Hallani)
- Brigitte Yaghi : Ana Fil Gharam (Shireen)
- Hadi Aswad : Mitl El Kizbeh (Assi Hallani)
- Muhannad Mshallah : Youm Fi Sana (Fadl Shaker)
- Raneem Quteit : Albi Mal (Rami Ayyash)

And then Shireen sang her song “Sabri Aleel”.
She passed the mic to all the candidates to sing with her but Ammar, which I thought was really weird and bad for her to do.

Something else is that she commented on all the candidates after they performed, something previous guests didn’t do.
Maybe it’s something new and all guests will be commenting from now on.

I thought Brigitte wasn’t at her usual level, and I honestly think the person to leave should be either her or Hadi Aswad.
But please, fans of both of them, don’t hate me, I’m just giving my opinion.

Salam,
brigette, hadi, and Muhannad didn’t compose their own songs ,not only brigette.yes I agree Raneem’s composition was my favorite too. in general I didn’t like this prime because I just couldn’t stand Shereen, it seems she was there just for Ayman.they allowed her to comment on the contestants while they didn’t allow Wadee3 or Asala, doesn’t make any sense
her ignorance for Ammar is a minus for her, plus for him!HE DOESN’T NEED COMPLIMENTS FROM SUCH A PERSON!
GO AMMAR,GO MUHANNAD,GO HUSSAM!
PEACE

Hey all! Today’s episode of Superstar with Shireen was really good. I liked her personality a lot. Mohanned was unbelievable…soooo good, it hurts to think he was almost voted off…wow I was very impressed…but not suprised…he always rocks!!!! And I’m sorry, I know people don’t agree lol, but I really think Hady was absolutely fantastic today. He is improving soo much and he has such great stage presence, looooove his personality and smile. Ayman’s performance was below mediocore…he really should leave next. Ammar did good and picked great songs, but watching Mohanned sing proves that he has much more variety in his voice. I don’t think Ammar could have sang for Fadul Shaker like Mohannad. Go Mohannad and Houssam of course, who always does great. Even Abdullah said he was really disappointed he was almost voted off!!!

3. 3 Aman Jul 18th, 2004 at 10:36 pm

Everyone please show your support for the powerful guys that should make it to the end and vote for Mohannad and Houssam. I think they need the votes more than Ammar, but if you want to vote for Ammar, please think of who you want him to compete against in the end, and that is Houssam and Mohannad. Again, I just looved Mohanned’s performances today. Very disappointed by Bridgette and Ayman. Hady was great, improving so much and Ranim did a good job as well. I hope Ayman gets voted off next. And I would love to think that Ammar didn’t care about what Shireen did to him, but didn’t anyone else notice that he walked away before everyone else, while all the other contestants were talking to her? I think he’s mad…who can blame him!

4. 4 Lylani Jul 18th, 2004 at 10:36 pm

i agree Ahmad (o and thanks for the link)..
i lost all respect for Shireen today b/c #1- she seems to have forgot her clothes at home & #2- her diss of Amar .. especially at the end when she held the microphone up to everyone and skipped him.. but good for Amar he walked off stage while everyone gathered around her at the end…
my favorites from the episode were: mohannad “gharamteeni b’lotfik” & Hussam “Lalla”…& of course my votes & prayers are for them
Australians - u didnt miss much .. this episode was not so exciting in my opinion

Peace all,
Let’s me start by stating that I didn’t expect much out of this episodes, I already had my reservations on the guest. Not tooffendanyof her fans.ButI believe they should maintaina much higher level for thier guests. With that said, I should admit that I was impressed by the performance of Raneem Qutait. Probably his best performance yet. As noted by other critics here his segment was undoubtly the best of all other segments. Another “halba” episode for Ayman. I believe his departure is way past due. The trio as usual did great with Muhannad standing out and Hussam being my least favorite of the trio in this prime. I still believe in his great talent, yet it seems he is limited to a specific, anda great one I should add, type of music. This is not a negative thing I believe, the great tenors Saba7 and Wadee3 are limited in a specific style which indeed makes them great. Ok enough said about Hussam. Shireen’s ignorance for Ammar whether intentional or not was very inappropriate. Yet, such a great talent is not in need for her recognition. To the expectations part, I believe one ofthe poor trio, Ayman, Brigitte, and Hady should leave. Yet, I still hold my expectation that one of the Syrians Muhannad, Hussam, and Hady is next on the row. For this program’s sake hopefullyit will be Hady, although I prefer him over Ayman and Brigitte. Allah yostor ;)
Peace out for now ;)

Dear All..
Hi Aman :o )Ahmad and all…Abboood we miss u.It was different without our beloved ABEER..i missed her lovely smile and healing angelic voice. Aman 7abibti i love u really and i agree about muhannad. Sooooo cute Muhannad and great performance, but sorry, Aman don’t get mad at me and all who love hussam, but i think Ammar was just great. Hussam was okay.:o) ( my respect to Aman)
Cute Muhannad was very nice esp with fadel shaker song. I guess the way hussam keeps expressing his face..is a bit too much( even Mrs fadya said so), i wonder why he doesn’t take it easy like the cute Muhannad, ya allah shu mahdoooooom.
Ammar as usual, just himself, i love it, this guy is confident and doesn’t change for whatever comments people say. I disagreed when shireen said that she was afraid to talk to him cos he looked serious, God, what a shame for what she said and what she did at the end, maybe i was assuming that ammar didn’t know the lyrics :o (. anyway…no more comments i pray and vote for muhannad till tomorrow. Ranim was nice and the song he composed was good too, also Ammar’s song was good too even though it was in “3arabi fos7a” but the words were meaningful. No more comments….BIG GOOOOO for cute Muhannad and the BIGGER GOOOOO for strong “ya jabal mayhezak ree7″ Ammar.
Peace and love u Aman 7abibti :o )

Hi all
Husam was not that good today especially in Amr Diab’song. Shereen sucks, she just need to get more clothes on. the way she ignored Ammar that was very rude and she need to learn how to speak in public. that was awful, why would they get guests that low. I hope they get someone decent the next time. Does anyone know who is the next guest

8. 8 UnKnown Jul 19th, 2004 at 12:11 am

Ya3neh guys ma3leish, forgive me, bas to me I think that nobody did good today. None of the contestants impressed me. It seemed very boring. Not even the guest seemed exciting to me.
So it looks like I am not going to vote this week. Sorry for the people who might disagree with me.
Bye

9. 9 Nemo Jul 19th, 2004 at 12:11 am

Is anyone making mp3s of the performances? :)

10. 10 Aman Jul 19th, 2004 at 12:46 am

hey all! aw ghada…you are such a sweetie..i look forward to reading your comments..thanks :) now as much as i love houssam and think he is very very talented…i agree with you totally ghada…one has to be fair lol. houssam was not as good as usual today. he could have done much better. but yea mohannad was soooo amazing. and i’m still gonna give credit to hady. i really think ppl here are hard on him and automatically want to give him a bad review no matter what. he is def improving. as much as i hate to admit it…i do think a syrian is finally going to get kicked off…and i agree firas….ayman should go before them lol.

I found various SuperStar2 songs at: http://musicananet.net/superstar/index.htm, but I can’t translate it. Can someone help?

12. 12 sumaya Jul 19th, 2004 at 3:00 am

First of all, I love this site! I wasn’t really into Superstar until only about two weeks when I got Future tv on the jumptv website, after that I searched the web for info on the show to see what I missed. I did get to see the Asalah episode, I really like her as an artist, she has a powerful voice and that’s where I heard Ammar and all I can say is WOW. Ammar will be a star whether he wins this competition or not. No record label/producer who watches this show can just see him lose and not offer him a record deal, impossible! Apart from him, I also find that Housam, Mouhannad, and even brigit have a powerful voice. i saw a good performance from Hady as well today, even though I’m no big fan of his.
As for today’s show, by the end of the show, I seriously had my mouth open in disbelief when Shereen just passed the mic to everyone but Ammar, and I didn’t see him leave the stage but if he did, then good for him! Why stay around Shereern who has this air of a snob anyway and like someone mentioned, here she is in a serious show dressed as if she were in a strip club.
I do hope they bring real artists next time. So when do they announce the nominations tomorrow? at what time? and is it live?

13. 13 niveen Jul 19th, 2004 at 3:04 am

17. 17 Calabala Jul 19th, 2004 at 4:03 am

Peace all,
I’ve watched the prime, and I believe it was awesome. About Shereen’s clothes, u guys r right, they were “a bit” inappropriate ;) . Now lets get serious… Starting with Ayman, I really don’t know what to say about him, but he was waaaaaay under average (with all my respect to his fans as I don’t mean to offend him or any of his fans). Basically, I agree with u that his time is up and he needs to leave next.
Hussam was a bit less than usual (specially when he sang “Sa3ban 3alaya ya ghaly”), I really love this song, however, I believe Hussam ruined it, but when he sang “La La La”, I think he did a pretty well job on it —> Clap Clap Clap :)
Ammar, as I said before, sang “Jeet bewa2tak” beautifully, but again ruined “B7ebek w bghar” as he sang it feelinglessly. And as I commented before, Ammar has a great talent but lacks feelings sometimes when he sings.
Brigitte was under average today, don’t really know what happened to her, but at least she wasn’t as awful as Ayman (with all my respect and love to his fans).
I think Hadi’s peformance was great today as well, this guy is definately improving, although he needs to improve more in order to compete with someone like Muhannad or Hussam.
Muhannad ya Muhannad, this guy is just awesome, what can I say?? He is like a piece of “basbosa” or chocolate that you just wish that it lasts forever. He was definately awesome awesome awesome today when singing both songs. He was just amazing —> Great Work Muhannad :)
And last but not least, Ranim. This guy was awesome today as well, I was really proud of him today as I was watching him. He was just awesome today as well, and proved to me that he can surprise us with unexpected stuff —> Great Work Man (Clap Clap Clap) :) :D
(Thanks ghada for ur complement about Ranim)
About Shereen’s ignorance to Ammar, well I don’t really know what happened there or what was in her mind, but I think she was trying to joke with Ammar, specially that I saw her in the prime was gonna give it to him but then changed her mind and she was laughing and looking at him and he was looking at her too, and when she was commenting about Ammar, she said that she thinks he is serious (which is what I believe as well, don’t be upset ghada) and that she was scared to sing with him before the prime, so I really don’t know what happened there. But guys, don’t take it that serious and make it such a big deal cuz u never know.
Anyways, I can’t wait till tomorrow to see who is gonna leave next, bas inshallah kheer.
Hope ur day will be filled with happiness and success (as well as mine :) ;) :D ) inshllah Ameen
Best Regards :) ;) :D

Hey yall

I just wanted to say that this episode was really weird. What was up with Shareen and the disrespect for Ammar? She must be jealous of him. What I have to say is that she was really rude! Anyway, with all due respect, I love Ayman (helba helba) and I definitely think he should stay. Houssam M. should leave this week. I have had enough of his messed up faces. Don’t get me wrong because he really does have a nice voice, but his face makes me SICK. (Don’t get mad its just an opinion.) and Brigitte, Hadi, Ranim and Mohannad, Ammar, Ayman all sang great too. Good Luck to all!!

19. 19 Mimi Jul 19th, 2004 at 4:32 am

Hi everyone!

Today’s episode was really great! Ammar, Ayman, Mohannad, Ranim, and Hadi’s performances were awesome!!!!! They all really did a good job. Ammar’s performance, I think, was excellent!! Brigette’s second performance was better than her first one. But she still did an awesome job. Houssam M. singing is really good. But he overdoes the facial expressions. Even though, he didn’t do it as much this week. Houssam M. or Brigitte should be the one to leave next. Good Luck to all the superstars!

20. 20 Aman Jul 19th, 2004 at 4:32 am

Calabala Calabala…wow!!!! I could not agree with every little comment you made even more. I agree with you 110%. You are totally right about everyone. I had the same exact feeling about everyone. Mohannad was more than amazing, Ammar lacked feeling, Ranim was great, Hady is totally improving and I was disappointed by Ayman and Bridgette. Good taste…haha. Hope to hear more from you!!!

21. 21 Mimi Jul 19th, 2004 at 4:38 am

Oh and I also wanted to say that how Shareen ignored Ammar was really unappropriate!! She shouldn’t have done that. It angered me a lot because Ammar deserves respect. If Shareen was just joking or if she did it by accident, which I doubt, then it wasn’t funny - it was mean. That’s all c ya Later!

22. 22 niveen Jul 19th, 2004 at 4:58 am

I do not think Ammar lack feelings especially this episode. even Fadia commented that she like the way he performed today and how he is different. I think Amman and Calabala you just dont like Ammar even if he sings perfectly. you just had this idea about him and you cant change. what do you want from the guy to go on the stage and start crying or what?????????????
Ammar was Awesome, go Amma

23. 23 niveen Jul 19th, 2004 at 4:59 am

sorry i mean Aman

24. 24 Aman Jul 19th, 2004 at 4:59 am

Hey guys! Is anyone going to post the songs (mp3s) everyone sang so we can listen to them please :) thanks!

25. 25 Calabala Jul 19th, 2004 at 5:19 am

First of all, Thanks Aman, u r soo sweet ;) . Of course I’m glad that we share the same opinion :) And I’ll try my best to post more inshallah.(but be sure that I’m always here reading the comments).
Secondly, with all my respect to u Niveen, I have soo much love and respect to Ammar and all the contestants. And NO, I don’t hate him, and I don’t hate any of the contestants either. Hate is such really a huge word that we can’t just use it this much, and personally my heart cannot hold this huge word and/or feeling inside it. And I just want u to know that when I comment on one of the performances, I normally try to be fair and away of feelings, in other words, I don’t say this person did well today just because I love him/her. And if u read my comment again, u’ll find that I mentioned that he sang his first song “Jeet bewa2tak” (which Mrs. Fadya commented on) beautifully and nobody can deny it. And if u go to Prime 7’s blog, u’ll see that I’m not the only person who thinks that Ammar sometimes lacks feelings when singing.

26. 26 Calabala Jul 19th, 2004 at 5:22 am

Oh and by the way Niveen, feelings are not shown by tears or smiles only, and certainly, I don’t wanna see Ammar or any of the contestants crying just to show me that they have feelings

27. 27 Calabala Jul 19th, 2004 at 5:25 am

Oh and you know what Niveen as well, tears and smiles can be easily faked so certainly they r not indicators of whether a person has feelings or not!!!

28. 28 mimo Jul 19th, 2004 at 5:25 am

hi all!
I was furious when i saw what sherine did to ammar!!!!!!!!!!!!! zay ma bi2oulou, dammi kan 3am byeghli! If it was done on purpose (which im sure it was) she should apologize. Bas howe rou7ou riyadiyyeh and it didnt seem like he cared. GO AMMAR GO!
Anyways, it was a nice episode. I think that the best 3 were ammar, mouhannad and ranim. I didnt like houssam’s performances at all. And the rest were 3adiyyen.
Anything is possible at tomorrow’s final so we have to vote to make the best ones stay.
btw, does anyone know how i can vote by phone from canada, thats where i am. if anyone knows please let me know:)

29. 29 niveen Jul 19th, 2004 at 5:36 am

Calabala,
Sorry if you misunderstood me ;) , I didnt mention the word hate at all at all LOL. All i said is that you dont like him and i mean that you dont like the way he sings maybe. anyway, I also agree about his performance last episode lacked feelings, but I just wont put this idea in my head and never give it up. I just try not to pre-judge people. i dont mean that you are or anything, it is just a thought bcz I feel it is the same things said about the contestants after each episode by the same people
I dont think that Ammar is very serious or anything, it is just he is more quiet than the others, thats what it is, and shereen lack public speaking skills. she doesnt know what to say or how to act in front of the camera. she is just extra mdla3a and Ammar’s style doesnt comply with her dala3 lol :) , sorry but thats my opinion. ma 3endha khefet dam or hadameh belmara.

30. 30 Calabala Jul 19th, 2004 at 5:59 am

Oooooops Niveen, I think I was kinda imagining when I read the word hate in ur comment LOL. But sorry about misreading it. Anyways, u don’t really need to apologize about anything, I think this is an open area for such discussions, so don’t worry I’m not angry or anything (Safy ya laban??? as we say in Egypt LOL). And at least we share something, which is we both think that Shereen is not that funny and is sooo spoiled.
Yallah, anyways, we r sisters and “ro7na reyadeya” just like Abdulrahman :) ;) :D
Peace

31. 31 Neeno Jul 19th, 2004 at 6:32 am

hey people

What up? I love reading all of your opinions. Whether I agree with them or not, I still like them. Don’t you agree that Ayman is really good? So is Ammar and Mohannad and Ranim and definitely Hadi. I will be so upset if Ayman left this week. I don’t know why people want him to leave. He has a really good voice and he has a great personality. :)

32. 32 Abbood Jul 19th, 2004 at 7:10 am

Too many unpredictable surprises this week:

1) MMM has Hussam, Ammar, and Muhannad in his favorite list :-)
2) Ammar actually shouted this time :-)
3) Hussam had rated R scary facial expressions :-)

Ok Ok… I don’t want to piss anyone off here. I will be serious with the following comment though. I honestly think Ranim showed us why he deserved to remain to this stage, and why he deserves to even last to the end. It was mentioned that the singer doesn’t need to laugh or cry to show feelings. I agree, but if he makes someone cry or laugh, then he absolutely succeeded in the feelings part. The camera showed a woman with tears after his performance of Amer Diyab’s song. Personally, I didn’t cry, but I definitely got the chills from his amazing performance. I think he should give a lesson or two to Ammar on “acting” every word of the song. What a huge contrast between Ranim performing Amer Diyab’s song and Ammar performing Idris’s song last week.

This is the first time I mention anything about Ranim. I guess Abir was taking all my focus and I wasn’t seeing anybody else except her. Ranim definitely deserves to be named man of the episode. Ammar and Hussam’s fans suggested having a national song episode. Well, I suggest having a romantic song episode, this will be more interesting to watch: Ammar will shout at his lover, and Hussam will scare her away with his face ;-)

33. 33 Calabala Jul 19th, 2004 at 7:12 am

Did u guys notice that Ayman had his “halba” in the song he wrote and composed??? He actually started to get on my nerves by this word. And u know what my calls him instead of the “halba guy”… She calls him the “HABLA GUY” LOL LOL :) :D ;) . Wllah I don’t mean to offence anyone of his fans with this its wallah exactly what my mom calls him and I kinda find it funny. Sorry to his fans and don’t be upset, O.K.??
Peace

34. 34 Calabala Jul 19th, 2004 at 7:14 am

Aboood, u honestly made me laugh man :) :) :D
U know what, I actually had tears too when Ranim was singing

35. 35 MMM Jul 19th, 2004 at 8:27 am

Yeah Abbood, those 3 are in my faves for this week too, lol.
But if you look a bit closer, you’ll see their order changes from episode to episode, and in this episode Ranim is also one of my faves.

And even though I liked Ammar’s performance, I think he did better on the first song than the second one.

Houssam did better on the second one, I think.

Muhannad rocked in both his songs and so did Ranim.

The others were good, but nothing too special. sorry fans.

I feel that the next 3 people to leave should be: Brigitte, Hadi and Ayman in no particular order.
And then Ranim, then the Golden trio artistically murder each other for the title :P

Honestly, whoever gets the title from that trio, I’m totally and fully satisfied :)

36. 36 Abu Farweh Jul 19th, 2004 at 8:50 am

My dear critics, Ghada, Aman, Abboud, Calabala, Mimi, Niveen, etc. I thought yesterday’s episode was just a smidgen above average. I reiterate what I said earlier, the spin-offs that the show is going through have ruined it big time. What the hell is Future TV thinking, “2oughnieh 7aditheh” night, what is next. I liked the performances in the first part of the show better than the second. The worst thing has to be the lovely guest … “trashy Shireen” she really got on my nerves with that cheap dress of hers, breasts hanging out, her underwear almost showing, so vulgar. She needs serious wardrobe advice from some of the more respectful and immensely successful female artists like Asala and Majida Aroumi. Her stage performance was overshadowed by the amazing singing of all contestants without any reservations. Her vocal acrobatics sucked big time. I can’t say enough about the comments she made, as horrible as her appearance. Maybe she could not believe it that she was asked to be a guest at the show. FUTURE TV tell us what were you thinking. A legand like Wade’ As-Safi didn’t comment except on the group as a whole and this “Shireen” character still wet behind her ears was allowed to comment like that. I think Ms. Fadia, Mr. Rahbani and Gou’od should have commented on her as a bull__t artist.

My favorites from last night were as follows, Ammar, Mohannad (not so much so in his second performance), Ranim and Houssam M. The rest of the group were ok with performances lingering around average. I’m also in agreement with the comments about Ranim showing talent. I like the guy, why not he is talented and deserves a break too.

I would guess Hadi Aswad or Ayman A3tar will leave the show today however you never can guess how the voting will go.

Back to the Ammar subject, I also am in agreement with the comment that said certain people want to see him out of the show for whatever reasons. They intentionally forgot his segment a few weeks ago, then the incident shown on superstar extra and now Shireen saying what I consider as derogatory comments, finally her disrespecting him by not sharing the mic like she did with the rest of the contestants. What a shame what a shame, if Ammar was anything other than being a Palestinian I’m sure he wouldn’t have gathered so much controversy. Maybe people are only ready to see Palestinians as subordinates.

Abu Farweh – Good Day

37. 37 Abbood Jul 19th, 2004 at 9:23 am

I was really happy to see your name back in the blog ya Abu Farweh. However, I was very disturbed by what Abu Farweh wrote in his comment. Ya seedi we all love Palestine, including Shireen of course. I thought we are keeping nationalities out of this… and what controversy are you talking about. The ratio of Ammar’s supporters to non-supporters in this blog is like 80-20. He is the only one who has never been in the danger zone. So he is getting more votes than anyone else from all over the arab world. Most of the comments here are supportive of him… but supportive of him as a singer dear Abu Farweh, not as a Palestinian. All of the contestants were praised and attacked. Ayman has been named a “habla guy” for God’s sake. Is it b/c he is Libyan? Of course not… I personally don’t like Ammar b/c his shouting really annoys me, and he sings with absolutely no passion… but I still love Palestine :-)

You don’t expect us to sympathize for the guy just b/c he is Palestinian!!! so loosen it up dear Abu Farweh and don’t be too sensitive :-)

there is a good and bad side to reading your comments…

Abboud, thanks for the warm welcome man. You can always bet on me reading all of your comments. I agree I’m overly sensitive sometimes and nationality has nothing to do with it. Thanks again man.

Hi…abbood nice to see u gain here :o ) the blog without isn’t that cool. I like ur comments, as well as Aman and calabala 7abibti. Calabala wallah this time i liked ranim so much, but still believe his voice is normal :o ) ( love to u calabala) and definitely i think that ayman..should leave although his voice is good. The halba word is just giving him a minus report. If he stops then he will be ok.
I agree with u abboood maybe abufarweh our dear is a bit sensitive :o ) and yes ammar sings a bit loud but the voice is so strong, i mean..mel7em zein had a strong voice but what helped mel7im zein is his baby face looks, where as ammar has quiet a “hard face” looks, but i think he sings with some feelings but it is n’t being so obvious, except for the song of abderabidriss that he lacked so much the feeling. Anyway, let us pray and see cute Muhannad stayind INSHALLAH, he is lovely. I like the way he says the word to all the people “7abaybi, 7abaybi” lol and i love ranim’s smile and the way he jokes, his jokes are so decent and nice. Now, good luck Muhannad till the final four at least!
Abbood i agree with calabala..u made me laugh as well! lol :o ) thanx.
Niveen i have no idea wallah, i wish i will know too.

all i want to say is that i dont see the big deal about Hussams facial expressions…just listen to the mans voice!!!..i would so much rather buy a cd of him(or mohannad or Amar) than the others … o my gosh not everyone can come out looking & acting like a “cute” little kid with a cute little smile.. i mean there is diversity in this world.. also the same with Amar .. his personality is not the same as the others ..he is quiet and respectable & i think thats soo great…i think that its stupid how society tries to mold all of our artists into the same person ….
i dont know if i wanna watch this show if any of these boys are voted off.. its hard enough watching without Abir!! :(

45. 45 Aman Jul 19th, 2004 at 6:38 pm

Abbood…I totally agree with you about Ammar. I was really surprised to read that anyone would think that Ammar is the “poor attacked one”. If anything I am surprised that I am the only one that doesn’t want Ammar to win it all, everyone is in total support of him. I want Mohannad all the way and I actually find it really insulting to his AMAZING TALENT that people want him to only make it as far as the final 4..come on guys!!!! What does he have to do….stand on his head for people to realize he is already a true artist. And def, my dislike for Ammar has nothing to do with him being Palestinian….I just don’t like anyone that is overrated and in my opinion he totally is, everyone else has almost been in the danger but him, but he does have a strong voice..no doubt. I wish Mohannad got HALF the support Ammar does here.

Salam Aman and all,
No body denies the great talent Muhannad has. I love to see Muhannad stay at least until the top three because I believe in his talent. But eventually one only is gonna win the title and we have to pick one, and only one. different taste, and maybe some other issues, play the main role in the decision. your taste goes for Muhannad, some others for Hussam ,and others (including me) for Ammar. I just love his voice and don’t believe he’s shouting or lack the feeling. he’s more capable of mawaweel or jabali or shami style than for instance romance or Khaleegy style. I don’t think this is a disadvantage, as Firas mentioned; even some great names in music where singing just one style.
Peace and Love

What?! How can Housam be voted off?!?! Him and Muhannad in the danger zone?! This is insane! I thought he would be one of the last 4. This is ridiculous. I really wish and hope it has nothing to do with his nationality. Wow, how can Ayman and brigit still be there and housam leaves?!?!

Peace …
Can’t describe my feeling … a lot of anger … although it was obvious a Syrian was going out .. and guess what guys ..today it is Hussam and next episode it is most likely Muhannad .. mark that on me … it is getting very prdictable now ..Ammar, Raneem, Ayman for the finals :( ((((((((((((

53. 53 Aman Jul 19th, 2004 at 8:10 pm

I cannot believe the voting results today. I AM FURIOUS!!!!! No disrespect to anyone, but this show has become complete crap and there is zero taste in the Arab World. Houssam gets voted off and Mohannad was in the danger again???????? What the heck is wrong with the people who are watching this show. And because people’s tastes are only getting worse, Mohannad is prob next. Ayman and Ranim not even in danger and Bridgette gets saved? You may think this is my opinion, but when even the judges and people as talented as Asala realize the amazing talent of Houssam and Mohannad, then there is something wrong with the people voting. I still love Houssam and will support Mohanad till the end. If people keep voting like this, no one here should be disappointed when the final three are Ayman, Bridgette and Ammar. Too bad our plan for voting for Mohannad and Houssam didn’t work, maybe it will work next week for Mohannad!

YES !!! FINALLY …That damn Hussam is OUT !!! Uffffffffffffff…Ya saaaaater !! Im calling Aiman in a lil while to get you guys the scoop about why the hell he did that . Will keep you posted !

At last NO MORE CONSTIPATION FACIAL EXPRESSION AND YELLOW TEETH !! WOOOOOOO !

Peace 4 all,
Hussam is crazy and has weird facial expressions, Ammar lacks the feelings and just shouts, Muhannad sings crazy songs like 3aloosh, Wa3d Elbahry has attitude, and Abeer Ne3meh is not that much good looking ….well according to this nonsense taste that people has I’d say Muhannad and Ammar are next out and the Habla gou is gonna be our next super star competing with bridgette and Hadi:(((((((((((((((((((

57. 57 Calabala Jul 19th, 2004 at 8:15 pm

Ouuuuuuuuuch, this really hurts. Man, this is getting insane. Till now I can’t believe that Hussam is out, wallah this is getting rediculous and soooo insane. If it basically keeps on being like that, the show will suck BIG TIME. And guess what, Muhannad is in the danger zone again this week. WHATS WRONG WITH THOSE PPL WHO R VOTING??????? I thought Ayman would be in the danger, not Hussam and Muhannad. Wallah I think I’m getting nuts. And Brigitte is still there!!!! Oh God, this is just crazy!!!
I don’t know what to write, I’m basically getting soooo mad and insane. This is ballsh__t, this is the least I can call it.
Peace

58. 58 sumaya Jul 19th, 2004 at 8:16 pm

I am just as angry as you are, and sorry guys for the double posts! I think what is predictable is that both Hady and Brigit will be in the final because they have the support of the thousands of teeny boppers who watch them for their looks, I’m not saying they can’t sing so don’t kill me for that comment, but come on, Housam is So much better than the both of them. He even had the legendary Wadi3 safy tell him that! So I think that Ammar will be in the end unless some strange thing happens, you never know anymore! We all thought Abir and Housam would be in the end, and what a disappointment!

59. 59 Aman Jul 19th, 2004 at 8:16 pm

Damn Ruby…no need to be so mean about Houssam lol. You may think he was rude but I can’t imagine how horrible it must feel to be kicked off the show…especially when people like Ayman, Ranim and Bridgette are still on…that is a real insult and slap in the face to someone of his great talent. And guys, stop picking on the Syrians lol! Have you ever heard of the self-fulfilling prophecy? If everyone just gives up and thinks Mohannad is going to get kicked off, then he will because no one cares anymore to even to try to keep him on the show. We have to show a lot of support to Mohannad. Like I predicted…Ammar is more than safe, people here for some odd reason were afraid that if we supported Mohannad Ammar would be kicked off (yea right!) Well look what happened, Mohannad was almost kicked off again while Ammar was more than safe. Come on people, wouldn’t you rather see Ammar compete against Mohannad in the end. We still deserve to see a good show even if it is turning into one big joke and embarrassment!!!!!

Sorry for more postings….but I am soooooooooo MAD! I swear Arabs have lost their minds. Guys PLEASE…this voting proved that Mohannad needs our support and deserves to stay. I don’t understand his horrible luck. He was amazing last night, and no one here denied that, yet he was almost voted off 2 weeks in a row???????? Please guys, don’t actually believe that helping Mohannad stay is going to affect Ammar, clearly Ammar has more than enough votes, show support to the other only talented guy in the show MOHANNAD!!!!!! GO MOHANNAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

64. 64 Aman Jul 19th, 2004 at 8:39 pm

Here’s my idea guys. I will continue voting for Mohannad of course! But I honestly think at this point Mohannad should just leave the show, because it is an insult to his unbelievable, words cannot do justice to explain…talent. He should tell them that before they kick him off, he should save them the time and leave, cuz seriously, he is too good for a show that has become a total joke and complete crap. Hope everyone enjoys buying Ayman, Ranim and Bridgette’s Cd’s.

BIGGEST SHOCK….I almost cried the moment they said “brigitte u r safe go back”. Hussam leaving? i know he is not my fave, but i believe he has a great voice regardless and as expected to stay till the end . The big shock like Abir’s departure. This program’s voting is obviously unfair. Can anyone tell me what is hadi still doing? why the cuuutttee Muhannad almost out?..I can’t deny that i was afraid that Muhannad will leave, but i didn’t expect brigitte to stay :o (
At least we still have hope that muhannad will stay with Ammar..GOD KNOWS!
Aman my dear, i won’t pick on the comments u said about ammar, but this is the first time i see ammar crying. None of the rest cried except muhannad and ammar, this is because they believe in themselves. Strong voices all i can say. Maybe i was hard on hussam’s facial expressions and the way he stretches, but i never said he is not talented and deserves to stay like we said the “trio”.
Will be bad to see superstar getting worse after wa3d, Abir, hussam..and God knows who. Sorry Aman, we really have to wish muhannad good luck and ammar too, we don’t know what’s expected with these two powerful voices. I don’t think i will like to see hadi and ayman or whoever from the rest. Please Aman, try to like Ammar, he is way better than the rest who are staying as far as his voice..Muhannad we pray for u.. i don’t know what is wrong with the votes…are they fake or real?????..oh im disappointed.
Sorry hope many will forgive me for this…GOOO Muhannad and GOOO ammar..we still can watch the program just for you only.

Ya3neh I am sure innou if Fairuz sings in this show, she will get voted off, so guys plz stop getting shocked.

Btw Aman, in my opinion, I would rather see Ranim in the top three rather then seeing Hadi, Brigitte and “habla guy” competing with Muhannad and Ammar (although after what happened to Hussam I just can’t expect who would stay till the end). I think its much more respectful to someone like Ammar and/or Muhannad to compete with Ranim rather than competing with any of the others. I’m not cheering for Ranim cuz he is Egyptian, but cuz I wanna be fair, and I believe among the ones who are left (excluding Ammar and Muhannad), I think Ranim comes on top of the, of course with all my respect to ur love to Hadi.
Peace

So i wanna say that people shouldn’t stop voting for muhannad and ammar, they should stop voting for the other useless four, sorry i respect their fans, but if muhannad or ammar leave before the other four then no need to watch this crap anymore. MARAHABA
hey kitkat….yeah ranim’s great but i think that ammar & muhannad r better - dont u? i mean yeah he should be #3 but he cant beat ammar and muhannad. also, I think ayman should be #4 but everyone keeps saying that they want him to be the next one to leave. what do you think? I mean he doesn’t have that great of a voice as ammar and muhannad but i think he’s way better than brigitte or Hadi. I hope people dont get rid of him the coming week (helba helba)
bye bye

hi everyone
oh i know…. ammar and muhannad are def. (if there are no more surprises in the voting) gonna be the top 2 and yeah i do believe ranim is gonna be the third but i also believe that when he sings, he has more feeling than many and he surprises us (well at least me) with new surprises each episode and his voice and performance are constantly improving and he’s getting to the professional level and i think that he’s using the opertunity that the show is giving him to its’ fullest. he’s using it as a place to perform and gain experience as well to learn more and improve. and he’s not the only one, they’re all doing that but i guess he’s the one that i noticed most. now as for that ayman thing…. well i think i would rather it be hadi in the top 4 than ayman in the top 4 b/c of hadi’s voice… i like soothing voices…. (which is why i like ranim)and i think hadi’s voice is a lot more soothing that ayman’s. and besides, i think i like hadi’s personality better and if you read the other comments page…. i ( as well as a lot of people there) think that being superstar includes the whole package…. talent, looks, personality and manners. well that’s just my opinion and really i wish ayman good luck….(and also brig.).
take care

My grandmother loves you very much and every week she votes for you, and she wanted to tell you not to agree in doing your hair in such that way you do . She means comb it normally.

shireen didnt skip ammar at the end on purpose! at the results ammar told everyone that HE told shireen to skip him, because he doesnt know the song! But I agree about her clothing. Probably forgot half of them in the changing room…
