Future Arab SuperStarSo, last night, I got the Future TV signal back to normal and we were able to watch SuperStar again. And well, it was great fun.
In last night’s episode, there wasn’t just one guest, there were four. The 4 finalists from last years SuperStar: Diana Karazon, Ruweida Atiyya, Milhem Zein and Saoud Abu Sultan.
The episode started with this year’s candidates singing a medley of last year’s 4 finalists’ songs. It was nice, but for some reason not all the candidates remembered the lyrics by heart.
Anyway, my favourites from last night were:
- Muhannad Mshallah (Syria)
- Ammar Hassan (Palestine)
As usual, the results will be announced tonight.
The candidates sang the following songs last night:
- Muhannad Mshallah : Imta El Zaman (Mohamed Abd El Wahab)
- Abd El Rahman Mohamed : Ma Dam Ma’aya El Gumar (Talal Meddah)
- Brigit Yaghi : Agmal Ihsas (Elissa)

- Hadi Aswad : Albi Ashiqha (Ragheb Alama)
- Abeer Ni’meh : Nassam Aleena El Hawa (Feirooz)
- Ranim Quteit : To’mor Al Ras Ou Al Ein (Fareed El Atrash)
- Husam El Shami : Hila Ya Wase’ (Feirooz)
- Ammar Hassan : Ba’eeda Annak (Um Kalthoum)
- Ayman El A’tar : Al Bal (Sameera Saeed)
I didn’t catch Husam Madaniyyah’s performance because the electricity went off in the building.
My expectations for who will be in the danger zone tonight are:
- Abd El Rahman Mohamed - Saudi Arabia
- Ayman El Aatar - Libya
The 4 guests sang the following songs:
- Saoud Abu Sultan : Mashi Wein
- Milhem Zein : (eclectricity was cut but I expect he sang: Msheeti)
- Ruweida Atiyya : Min Nazra
- Diana Karazon : El Sharra Barra Ou B’eed
And at the end of the episode, the 4 guests sang the same medley the candidates sang at the beginning, with Diana singing Ruweida’s song and vice versa, and Milhem singing Saoud’s song and vice versa.
It was really cool…

Last night we featured an exciting episode of the Superstar finals action packed till the end. My favoirtes are as follows: Ammar Hassan, Mohannad Mishalla7, Housam Madanieh and Abir Ni’meh. I thought the performances by Hadi Aswad, Abdulrahman, Ayman ‘A3tar and H. Shami were weaker in comparison especially in the opening segmant. I expect that Abdul Rahman from Saudi Arabia will be the one to leave us tonight…other possible candidates for the danger zone are Hadi Aswad and either H. Shami or Brigitte Yaghi, however anything is possible in this program.

Well last night’s show was really good . Even if the performances were not top notch but you have to give the producers the amazing credit for coming up with great ideas like bringing back the last year’s 4 finalists . I loved the medley they did in the beginning . And I loved Diana’s performance . I was real touched when she came out on thestage crying because she remembered that this is where it all started . As for Rowayda..shes just whatever . Honking like a choked cow . She BUTCHERED Ensani Ma Bensak . I say no one can sing that song except for Diana because shes that delicate and senstive and not a wannabe like Rowayda . Souud and Melhem’s performances were really nice .
As for the rest of the guys , I loved Ammar , Hadi , and Ayman’s .

Mohannad’s performance last show was amazing by singing abdulwahab’s song “emta el zaman” and he showed that he can sing any type of songs with his own flavor, I think now we can say that Mohannad is “MOTREB”, although I am the owner of mohannad’s group and one of the biggest fans of Mohannad but I always think that Mohannad’s voice comes after ammar and housam madaneya (although I don’t like them) but I think after the last show he’s become the number one.
Mohannad has a great talent that should be appreciated.

My fellow music critics, although Hussam Shami is an undeniable talent he did make a couple of mistakes in the opening segment and in the MAWAL, those of you who watched the re-run would have certainly picked up on that. Fadya’s comments were right on the money. At any rate you may recall that last week he also made a mistake which the viewing audience forgave him for. I personally would have guessed that Abdul Rahman is the one to leave the program however such is the result of the votes. I’m troubled that someone who sings as well as Abir Ni’meh is in the danger zone while Hadi Aswad, Ayman A3tar both of which have been picking relatively easy songs and to a lesser extent Brigitte are outside. At any rate the pressure of the competition is causing the contestants to battle it out to the end with no holes barred. I’m glade that the viewing public still has some common sense, I hope they continue to vote out the candidates based on their performance rather than looks. There are plenty of forums for beauty, looks, phony and pretentious acts elsewhere. Finally congratulations to Ammar Hassan, Mohannad Mishalla7 and Hussam Madanieh they all did a great job yesterday.

Ruby— I agree with you about Ruwaida’s terrible performance of ensani mabinsak. However, what do you think of the piece that Diana sang for lebanon? I don’t know if the ear piece was bothering her that much, but I am sure that if Diana sang like that in the competition last year, she wouldn’t have become the superstar.
Again and again, Hussam Madaniyya performed Abdulhalim’s song miserably. I think he is the Hussam that deserved to leave the show more than the other. However, it seems that the voting bias is definitly working to the advantage of Ammar, Hussam M, and Ayman. In other words, it doesn’t matter how they perform, they will still get the votes.

Guys, if you look back at my posts from June 22, you will see that I predicted that Hussam Chami would be leaving this week. If my predictions continue to be true, the person leaving us next week is …. Ranim Koteit. We’ll see what happens. Until then, I bid you farewell.
I wonder how Abeer is always being chosen as one of the three nominees to leave. Come on people, this girl’s voice is awesome, I never enjoyed and lisntened to any song of Fairuz’s songs with anyone else up untill i listened to abeer. She is wonderful. What do u think people?! By the way, how come there is no mp3 songs this week?! I think that Melhem performed like a bird in s3ood’s song. It’s much better with him I believe.
HI ALL…although this year superstar have gr8 voises such as madniah, ammar and mohhand and they’ll probably be the final three. I think the show is no longer an all arab show it should be called sham superstar…its not attracting any viewers from elsewhere.

I missed part of the show & only managed to start recording before Saoud performed so that means I have no group medley or Mohannad & Abdel Rahman.

Ok, Correct me if Im wrong here, but what the heck is Ayman al a3tar still doing on the show??? God….ok I understand the concept of the show, and how people pick and so on….but there were plenty of voices in the second round that deserve to be there while others dont and as we can see most of whom are already out… I hate to be yasmin and rania…Honestly I think Mohanned has an unbelievable voice and talent, and people should notice, Housam madanieh, has a great voice bas he is becoming to cocky!!! Ammar shall be the superstar with Mohannad being second, possibly Housam being third and Abir being fourth, I think future TV should start announcing who got the most votes too and so on, not necessairly on TV but on the website, that would be a good idea.

OK on this night I thought Ayman’s song choice was the best “Wal Bal” BUT i thought he sang it poorly & was inferior to Rouwayda’s version. On the night (from what I could hear) Ammar was the best & even Houssam Chami had a nice melodic song this week, still shock he is out

look let’s talk wisely, a superstar main characteristic is 2 b sweet, nice or has a huge amount of “CARISMA” + the good voice & ” the SENSE” i mean sense in singing it’s one of the most important things a superstar is not only a loud powerful voice NOPE but a performance of sensetive voice that can express the words & move ur feelings & all of these characteristics are clear & sensed in the egyptian competitive RANEEM KOTEIT; he’s the one who really worths 2 b a superstar as he’s a complete package, from the 1st sight u can feel it in him he’s sooo light on the camera has a mega huge great amout of CARISMA his look is ok his voice is amazing & takes u 2 another world with his sense (by the way i’m not a usual spectacular 2 the program but i felt this in just a 1st one episode …..he’s a great guy that must take his chance & continue coz he’s from the best competitives……….sorry 4 being long but sorry i had 2 give this opinion coz it’s soooooo important..coz we’re choosing a superstar not a politic hero ….. don’t 4get that a superstar must b down 2 earth or he’s gonna be arrogant on his audiance in the future

Why is Roweida a wannabe? I thought she performed awesome on the show, I really enjoyed it. I know everyone has their opinion, but I think she’s better than Diana and deserved to win over Diana. And again, I’m agreeing with everyone about the top 3 or 4 except for the fact that I really see Ammar has overrated…I’m sorry I know I have said it a lot, but I’m trying really hard to see it and I don’t know why he deserves to be the next superstar. He is def better than some of the contestants, but not better than Abir, Muhannad or Houssam. Sorry, I don’t see it!
sorry Aman, Ok that is your point of view about Rowaida, but Thanks God it was not the point of view of the majority of superstar fans and arab audience.. Diana ofcourse deserves the super star,, and she got it , and that is something finished… let’s talk about super star 2004… Muhannad, Husaam, Abeer, AbdelRahman and Ali r the best till now although none of them performed all the episode the same level esp. the last three, but anyone of them deserves to be a superstar… I don’t think it is fair that Hussam is one of the contestants , coz he is already a qualified singer in Syria, so how comes he is competing with other amateurs. so i’d like to see one of the last 4 i mentioned as superstar , but even if Bridget Ranim or Hadi won it,, it is not the end of the world… coz this is the game’s regulations that everyone knew before he competeted or even voted for the audience… so I’ll not say Like Aman , Muhannad deserved the super star and Hadi doesn’t if Hadi won the competition.

hiiiii , i did’t watch the last 2 primz and i think not the comming primz cos some probz with the broadcasting to sydney.However, i really cryed when Abeer left , usually i don’t cry and pppl think i’m a stone and always angry , i cryed cos abeer is the only singer make me feel the sensation of love when she sang ANA ALBE DALEELEE and the awsome Fairozian songs , i wish all the best 4 u Abeer and as i say always “hayda 7al eldena , baas el dahab yeb2a dahab”.
