Future Arab Superstar : Finals : Prime 2 : The Results

Last night we knew the results of the voting for the second prime.

A lot more stress and fear in the air, and it even got us shaking.

Last night, the following candidates were called into the danger zone:

- Brigit Yaghi
- Ayman El A’tar
- Ranin Sha’ar
- Zahi Safiyyeh
- Mustafa Shweikh

And, the 2 candidates who got the lowest votes and left us yesterday were:

- Ranin Sha’ar
- Zahi Safiyyeh

It’s a shame to see them leave.

Anyway, that’s all for this week.
Can’t wait for the next prime.

Yes, its shame, but this the rule of the game. Actually, I felt that Ranine and Zahi will leave, not because their voices, but because their look.
I felt that Mohammed, Mostafa, or Ayman, will leave the programme next time.

Yeah Mustafa & Brigitte looked really worried last night, especially Mustafa! I thought Mustafa, Houssam M., Houssam C. & Ayman were bad on this show, hopefully they can change next week. :)

  3. 3 Ruby Jun 9th, 2004 at 1:48 am

Actually..Im WAITING with a passion that Moustafa and Hussam Madania would get kicked out of the show . I CANT stand them lol .

  9. 9 raghida Jun 10th, 2004 at 3:11 pm

hey guys hady aswad sould have left
the only thing keeping him in the program is his looks and the fact that he’s choosing easy songs to sing and that he’s chadi aswad ’s brother
bad reasons to keep him in the show
wake up people this is not a beauty contest

  10. 10 manhal saedi Jun 12th, 2004 at 6:29 am

    That’s right raghida..
the best two voices are: Mohannad and Ranim
so vote for mohannad PLZZZ he has a GREAT vioce GOOOOOO ON MOHANNAD!
go to the best fan club: http://www.mohannad.co.nr

  11. 11 rouchdy Jun 12th, 2004 at 5:41 pm

    vote for abir
abir is the best voice this year
she also has the best personality

  12. 12 bassole Jun 14th, 2004 at 12:09 am

You are right that Abir is the best, i hope she will be the superstar if not she is anyway, one more thing: Does anyone know if there is a website for Abir

  13. 13 Abbood Jun 15th, 2004 at 2:00 am

Abir was amazing and has been consistent throughout the contest. Her voice is sooo peaceful and relaxing. You guys know that some therapists recommend listening to Fairouz to relax and release stress. Abir is this generation’s Fairouz. I think she should be in the final four.

The others are generally great singers of course. However, I think Muhannad Mishalla7 has been disresepctful to us arabic listeners. What does he mean by singing songs like Aloush and qoom o2af? I personally see it insulting when a singer tries to get votes by singing “low class” songs like these. He thinks that he would get votes when he sings songs that people like, and these are the songs that people like to listen to. I was really hoping that he would get punished and leave the show for singing this garbage. I think Elyas and the others shouldn’t allow these songs in the show. It’s true that Wa3d didn’t perform Thekra’s song very well, but she deserves to stay over Muhannad. Muhannad is a disgrace to the show and he doesn’t deserve to be in a show that is meant to enrich the arabic culture with good artists.

  14. 14 abou_sillu Jun 15th, 2004 at 3:53 am

    hey Abbood…you’re an idiot !!!
you started listening to arabic songs two weeks ago and now you’re such an expert !!!
Conduct some research about arabic music before making premature judgements…

“Nothing is more terrible than to see ignorance in action” Author: Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

“Nothing in the world is more dangerous than a sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity”
    Author: Martin Luther King, Jr.

  15. 15 Abbood Jun 15th, 2004 at 5:26 am

hey abou_sillu… u r a genius!!! u come to a superstar chat site and u r enlighting us with quotes by Martin Luther and Goethe. you are truly making a statement by this, very impressive… or maybe not!!!

Superstar is supposed to be a fun show for people to enjoy in their free time. However, I can play your silly game of making a topic of society and culture from this show. There has always been an ever lasting discussion of: Does art reflect our culture, or does art help to create our culture?

All of us (except maybe abou_sillu) are involved in a lifestyle that involves using the mind. In general, the mind is engaged in some form of a conscious response at an intellectual level. However, reading poetry or listening to music involves the mind at a visceral or a sensual level. It has a direct effect on the behavior of the people. For example, people who listen to Fairouz are different from people who listen to Ahmed Adawiyya. Do you understand what I am saying here or you are just good at copying what other people say???

Anyway, it’s true that I am no expert in arabic music, but I never claimed that I am, so I wonder where you got this impression from. You also said that I started listening to Arabic music two weeks ago, and this is a false statement also. I wonder why you specified two weeks… why not three weeks, or one week… hmmm, I can’t but wonder about the logic behind your statements, if there is any!!!

Finally, I have a final request for you dear abou_sillu, would you please enlighten me about the research I need to conduct to understand the sophistication behind Baha Sultan’s art? It seems like you are a very smart guy who quotes Martin Luther and Goethe to defend Mishalla7 and Baha Sultan, so let’s all learn from your genius intellectual mind.

  16. 16 Cloud Jun 16th, 2004 at 4:17 pm

I agree with Abbood about Muhannad Muchallah and him singing ‘lower class’ songs to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

People like Waad deserve to stay compared to him.

Good luck for hadi and brigitte

  21. 21 batoul Jul 18th, 2004 at 1:25 pm

i want to say good luck for hadi aswad ,i think he is the the best: because the superstar should many caracteristics not the beautiful voice only ,but he should have the good looking ,the good talking, the funny soil.
i think that all the candidates have the beutiful voice ,but not all have the caracteristics that i told be4 ,i think hadi has these caracteristics so i think he deserves to be a superstar .anyway ,if he is not the superstar ,he is a super star in our hearts ,

  22. 22 SAMIH ALI Jul 31st, 2004 at 4:12 pm
