So, yet another episode of SuperStar on Future TV yesterday.
I didn’t really focus on this one as I did with previous ones as I was busy doing other things at the same time, but still I managed to catch the best moments.
A number of great voices passed to Lebanon, and lots of others failed miserably.
The highlights of yesterday’s episode were:
- Um Kalthoum wannabe’s who suck.
- More George Wassouf wannabe’s who suck even more.
- The judges alone laughing, imitating and making fun out of some of the contestants.
- A Korean candidate who’s been living in Jordan and who masters the Jordanian accent very well. He sang a hard arabic song really well, but didn’t pass.
- Ruweida (the Syrian finalist for last year’s SuperStar) did a candid-camera sort of trick on the judges. She came in with her hair covering her face, acted weirdly and sang for the judges, only to reveal herself later to be Ruweida.
And man does she have a strong voice!
The best voice from yesterday was that of an Iraqi girl living in France. Her voice is warm and really powerful.
More SuperStar next week…

Future Arab SuperStar
Not to forget the Korean who speaks Arabic fluently and masters the Jordanian accent. He’s unbelievable, his voice is beautiful and he sang a very difficult song with very complicated Arabic words
I liked that part.
