One Yeshiva Boy Worth More Than 1000 Arabs

… The life of one yeshiva boy is worth more than the lives of 1,000 Arabs

Rabbi Eliyahu

This is from the same guy who said the Tsunami was God’s punishment for disengagement from Gaza; that Hurricane Katrina was God’s punishment to the US for supporting it; and who now advocates carpet bombing Gaza.

Do I really need to comment on this?
Normally, I shouldn’t even have to bother; I mean, obviously this guy is known for his outrageous and mad statements, and nobody should care about a thing he says.

But, as a former Sephardi Chief Rabbi of Israel, you can’t but wonder how many people do listen to his words, follow his teachings and believe in his vision of things. The more they are, the less probable peace becomes.

  1. Subzro?
    What is your source?
I am an orthodox jew, yes, the one with the black hat and beard, I am not defending Rabbi Eliyahu but what makes you think he said such a think?
You think that us jews follow our Rabbis and sages? but here you are believing a quote that is not even sources, that Rabbi eliyahu never ever uttered!!!
“The more they are..the more probable peace becomes” i say the more you guys believe everything you hear and start finding out FACTS the further we get from peace.
    Shalom

  2. a jew,
I replied to the comment you left on my blog and I hope you read it.

But in MMM’s defence, I hope you realize that when we mention such things we do not mean to attack Judaism as a religion, since we do believe in your religion, respect it highly and this is actually one of the conditions for being a Muslim: believing in other religions.
Of course we know that when the rabbi said so, it doesn’t mean that all jews are with him in that, but for those who are with him, or those who may value his words, and for those who would be affected by his sayings, we write such things.

If you were attacked, you might keep silent once, twice but when you feel that you’re being targeted and some people are starting to believe your attackers, I think you might try to defend yourself.

Anyway, as I said in my reply to your comment on my blog, we’re not against Jews, and you’ll find many postings admiring jewish peacemakers, artists, scientists or actors, but we are against the policy of the Israeli government…
