Barack Obama On War

I am not opposed to all wars, What I am opposed to is a dumb war. A rash war. A war based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics.

Yeah, he's walking a tightrope. He has to convince people that his position on Iraq is not evidence of what his position on Iran would be. I don't envy the guy. I may end up voting for him myself, though. Weird election this time around.

PS-He's even trying to SOUND like JFK now, isn't he? That little snippet you put up has the same rhetorical flourishes.

Obama was too kind: "it's a war based not on principle but on profit..." for the right people. And an endless war at that, a device of social control of which Orwell so strikingly wrote.

Even if elected, I'm afraid Obama will be assassinated--an expedient not unique to the U.S.
