Canon 350D: My Digital Rebel
Finally, and after so much waiting and delaying, I got myself a DSLR camera; I am now the proud owner of a Canon 350D...

I simply love it... This is a great and fun camera... And it covers all my needs for the time being...
The kit comes with a Canon 18-55mm lens, and I also got it a Tamron 70-300mm lens, a tripod and a really nice Mekko bag.
Expect more photos here and on my flickr from now on as I discover the different settings of the camera and go wild snapping shots of everything around me.

J'ai acheté le même appareil il y a 3 semaines! ET je suis très satisfait!
J'ai le même kit que toi, sauf pour le téléobjectif, moi j'ai un Canon 70-300mm. Plutôt impressionnant!
On attend de voir les photos :)

i'll be waiting for your shots soon ;)
Nanananere , moi j'ai le 400 D :p
Bienvenu au club, on devrait créer le club Canon EOS
:)
@Mira: Thanks :) It is a great camera, so I have to agree.
@Skydancer: Ybarek feek :) Swifty told me you bought a dslr a few weeks ago but he wasn't sure which one. So a Canon 70-300mm, cool, a bit expensive though, I had to settle for the Tamron with my budget.
You should start seeing the results soon.
@Tom: Thanks :) Some shots should start making their way online soon.
@Taz: Oh whatever, the 400D doesn't have that much more going for it over the 350D :P
And yes, I think we should start a Canon user group soon, we sure have enough people for it.
As usual , welcome in the club, the competition seems going far :)

You'll love the camera.
I had it before upgrading to the 400D (XT and XTi here in North America) and yes sadly it has a great add-on over the 350D :the dust cleaning feature. So try to avoid dusty places as much as possible when switching lenses. Cleaning the sensor is a real PITA. Be careful!
If you want, you can spend some time on these forums:
http://photography-on-the.net/forum/index.php
http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/
The first is more noob-friendly while the second is more oriented toward professional photography but both are great IMHO.
There is a good eBook too: "A Short Course in Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT Photography". As I said before the Rebel XT is the name of the 300D here in Nth America.
If you can't find it online, I can send it to you by sloooow mail on a CD ;)

Posted by: Lowe at October 9, 2007 09:02 PM@Karim: Expect me in some your next photoblogger meetups and outings ;)
@lot: Thanks man :) And yeah I know about the dust cleaning feature in the 400D, but for an extra 200 Euros, I chose not to care too much about it :P I'll be taking extra care when changing lenses though.
Thanks for the tip, I found the ebook and it looks very interesting; I've already forwarded it to my other friends who have the same cam. Thanks for the links too :)
@Lowe: A photography club is a great idea :) I'm all for it.
