What Do You Like/Dislike About Subzero Blue?

I think there are two main kinds of passionate bloggers in the world: the kind that write for themselves and the kind that write for their readers.

Personally, I think I’m a mix of the two, I write for myself and for my blog’s readers at the same time.

And even though I do get your feedback on individual blog items from time to time, I wanted to go ahead and ask you in general what things you like and what other things you dislike about this blog?

I’m really interested in knowing: what kinds of posts you enjoy the most or find the most informative or useful? whether you come back a number of times per day and like it when I post several times or whether you pass by only once and would like to find just one good post waiting for you? what you think about the design? what keeps you coming back and what frustrates you about Subzero Blue?

Please do share your thoughts and ideas, and if you have any suggestions do not hesitate to let me know too, I would greatly appreciate them.

  1. I enjoy subzero a lot and I’ve been reading it for nearly two years. There are 3 things I like about it:

    – Short posts in which the point is quickly and clearly made
    – A variety of topics; I don’t like people who never change the subject
    – English and Arabic, the languages I love and wish to see more of the Tunisian sphere (and the whole society for that matter)

What I don’t like? hmmm, I’d say (1) the layout is a bit static and (2) too much text around every post, links, bookmarks and ads spoil the reading.

Long life to subzero blue ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. here’s my suggestions:
-More arabic posts will be more than welcome ๐Ÿ™‚
-Adding posts with videos could be interesting sometimes to illustrate some posts
-Adding your own personal aggregator, could help others discover interesting web sites,as I do with itoot or ikbes which I discovered randomely on this blog
    – Since this blog is the best tunisian one in term of audience and quality,I suggest to add a special Tunisia entry in the top menu, not as a simple category, this helps more and more people to know about our country
-Here’s an idea to involve more and more readers:
for example, each week or month, you launch a special topic, and tell your readers to send their articles about it,you post the more suitable one among your criteria in your homepage, with links to other’s articles.

-I don’t like the new layout,it sucks … I missed the old one ๐Ÿ™ recent template seems very crowded

last but not the least: let the voices inside your head go out :p

    see u man ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I like your blog simply because it is interesting. You are Tunisian who live in Tunisia, so that’s interesting enough to me, and also you have a good balance between some private matters (like your son’s birthday, that made readers happy even if they don’t know you personally) and more general things happening in the world as well as locally. I think this balance is what blog readers are searching for. If they want something completely general, they can read newspapers, and if blogs only have personal topics, people get bored unless you know the person. Lastly, I hope it stays written mainly in English so that I can read…

  4. I like personal posts, books recommendations, funny stuff, plus when you write posts about your country, city, and food(although you never post recipes.) :/

I enjoy your photolog as well.

  5. Your blog was the very first blog i ever read so it has a special place in my heart:) It must’ve been 3 years ago & i was searching for some information (about amr khaled or sami yusuf…can’t remember now!!) and found your blog. I bookmarked it and it has been on my list ever since. keep up the good work, especially the book reviews. May Allah protect you & your family.

  6. Thank you all so much for sharing with me your ideas, suggestions, what you find useful or interesting, and what you don’t like; it’s really great feedback for me that I will honestly take into consideration.

Please always feel free to let me know what you think and to share your ideas whether on the blog, by email or anyway you like ๐Ÿ™‚

    Keep them coming ๐Ÿ™‚
