Twenty Eight

I became 28 years old yesterday…
It was my first birthday with my son Adam around… So that definitely made it special…
It was celebrated at our place with my wife, son, parents and sister…

So how do I feel now that I’m one year older?
Well, exactly the same…
I’ll quote myself on my 26th birthday: “To me, it’s just the same as 25, 24, 23, …etc. It’s just a number really. How much we obsess about it is what makes the difference,” and well I don’t really care about stuff like that.
Maybe in 2 years time, when I become thirty, I’ll actually feel something, and then again, maybe not, I guess we’ll just wait and see.

Anyway, what are my plans for this upcoming new year on earth?
Well, I don’t know yet, but it’s promising to be an interesting one from the unexpected events that have started to unravel over the past few days, with a number of possible changes and some big decisions to make. More details about that will be made public when possible; For the time being, please wish me luck.

  1. Happy birthday.

    Good luck.

I’m sure, you’ll change your mind at age of 40.

You’ll begin to worry, and you’ll see the difference.

    Wait and see!!!!

  2. @Hamtaro: looool, thanks a bunch ๐Ÿ™‚

@Massir: Well 40 is still a long way down the road, and a lot of things will change along the way to there. I just hope that I’ll be where I want to be in life when I get there, if I am, then age will remain unimportant.

(My more timely wish went down some electronic rabbit hole.)

  5. Happy Birthday MMM!
بارك الله لك في عمرك وصحتك وأهلك ومالك

I am very much like you in the sense of getting old, and I didn’t know if 30 would be different until I hit it, and to tell you the truth, people made me feel it was different for a few times whenever I was asked about my age, you would see it in their eyes!(@_@)
    -y-o-u-a-r-e-n-o-t-y-o-u-n-g-a-n-y-m-o-r-e-
kind of reaction and they would immediately nod their head trying to hide the -w-e-t-h-o-u-g-h-t-y-o-u-w-e-r-e-y-o-u-n-g-e-r- kind of surprise! (^o^)

But don’t worry much, three incidents and I was back to normal. (^O^)b

  6. @stubsy: Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚ How do u like it at 28?

@Jimbo: Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ It was quite ok as a day, the weather sucked, and I spent most of it playing a new game on the playstation and spending time with my son, which is just fine for me ๐Ÿ™‚

@Saqf: Thanks bro ๐Ÿ™‚ I don’t think I’ll have that problem of people looking at me and thinking I was younger anytime soon, up to now, most of the people I meet think I’m well in my 30’s, one weird guy even thinking I was in my 40’s, so they’re shocked when they know I’m younger. I think I’ll have that going for a few more years still.

  7. Happy Belated Birthday MMM! I never knew that you were younger than us while we were at the uni?!

May your coming years bring you extra happiness and further success…

    Cheers ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. @Tala: Thank you for the wishes ๐Ÿ™‚
And yep, not that many people knew I was a bit younger at uni, I guess the topic just never came up.

  9. Happy birthday from Long Island, NY, MMM.

May all your dreams come true.

I’m a lurker and this is a good time to say that I love your blog.
