Mecca Cola is the only tunisian firm even unknown in Tunisia !!! I don’t see any Air Campany. I don’t find Saudian Petrole Aramco

Rotana strikes me as way too low on that list – should certainly be top 10, maybe top 5. Otherwise, it’s pretty hard to tell, especially with the consumer brands, what’s really big everywhere in the region.

Americana is a food chain very well known in Gulf states. Despite the name, it’s an arabian business.

I also find it quite bizarre that Mecca Cola is regarded as “Tunisia”, the product does not even sell in Tunisia! Tewfik Al Mathlouthi is French, living in France and Mecca Cola is incorporated in Dubai, UAE.

Saudi Aramco are maybe the largest company in the region, but they do nearly nothing to promote their _brand_. Aramco is known in Saudi Arabia as a big employer or a national pride but not as a consumer brand, it’s almost unknown outside of Saudi Arabia.

Aramco World Magazine is really, really well-put-together and in all senses slick.
