Putting An End To Procrastination
First, let's start with the definition...
v., -nat·ed, -nat·ing, -nates.
v.intr.
To put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness.
v.tr.
To postpone or delay needlessly.
Now, If there was a Procrastination World Championship, I think I'd have some of the biggest chances of winning it; if I don't keep putting back my registration for it beyond the final date that is.
It's one of the things I don't like about myself, and that I've always wanted to change, but the thing is that I've also been putting back the change, which confirms how bad a case I am.
Anyway, today on my way to work, I don't know what clicked in my head, and made me decide that this is the day it all comes to an end.
From today on, I will fight that will to procrastinate deep inside of me, and will follow these rules instead:
- If there is any way I can do something today/now, I have to do it.
- When doing something, I should do it whole heartedly and as best I can.
- Entertainment comes after I'm done doing the stuff I have to do for the day.
- No reason, present or future, should keep from delaying something I have to do today.
So, should I start today? Or should I have a clean start tomorrow morning?
Just kidding, but obviously if I did ask myself that, it would be a very bad sign.
I'm hoping I get to go through with this and that I start being more effective at getting things done in my life.
Wish me luck...

When MMM said: "Now, If there was a Procrastination World Championship, I think I'd have some of the biggest chances of winning it" , he didn't lie.
One of the things that I can still not understand is the fact that he does really procrastinate although he's such a determined person!
Best of luck MMM :)
