Tina Arena Was In Tunisia
So what do you know, Tina Arena, one of my favourite female artists was in Tunisia shooting the video for her new single "Je M'appelle Bagdad", which is one of my favourite songs off her new French album "Un Autre Univers", and I didn't know about it and didn't get to meet her. Now that's shitty...
The video was shot in the Tunisian Desert and in the Palace of Tozeur. It was directed by Thierry Vergnes, the same guy beind the ‘Aimer jusqu'ŕ l'impossible’ video. The story of the video follows Tina as she wanders through timeless landscapes, recalling the rise and fall of civilizations.
The video has been in post-production for months having elaborate computer effects added but despite all this, Tina maintains that her prime concern was to get the visual message right.
The single is due to be released in May.
Tina Arena will be performing live in Paris starting from June 13th at Theatre de la Porte Saint Martin. I saw the posters and all when I was there, but I won't be there when the concerts take place. Another opportunity missed.

Jenn, well there was a time when I was running the number one Tina Arena fan site that I knew all sorts of stuff before it even happening, but as my responsabilities grew, I had less and less time for the site, I slowly let go and even though I still follow her music and get all her albums and stuff, I don't have that inside information anymore and so I only hear about stuff after it happens.
And so, I lose chances like this one.
