Batman Takes on Al-Qaida

Bored with pitting his wits against the Joker and the Riddler, Batman is setting his sights on a more challenging target - Osama bin Laden.

Frank Miller, the famed Batman writer, sees the caped crusader facing off against al-Qaida operatives who attack Gotham City in "Holy Terror, Batman!"

Miller, who has inked his way through 120 pages of the 200-page opus, told a recent comic book convention that the novel was an unashamed "piece of propaganda" in which Batman "kicks al-Qaida's ass".

Miller said the use of comic book heroes for propaganda had an honourable tradition.

"Superman punched out Hitler. So did Captain America. That's one of the things they're there for," he said.

Why don't they turn Osama bin Laden into a superhero? It's Fatwa Man!

not another batman, this sequel is killing me, it's become stupid, predictible, obselete, you name it...i didnt even watch the last 2, not even in cheap torrent downloadable DivX.

Seems like Hollywood is running out of ideas recently for movies, too many sequels out there, missing impossible 3 coming soon, harry potter saga, batman 5000, etc..etc

That may be true, Napo, but I am sure as hell looking forward to the next Pirates of the Caribbean. :-D

Saad, hmmm, not so sure that would work, he'd have to lose the beard and dye his hair maybe :P

Napo, well this is just a comic book, not a movie, yet :P
Anyway, yeah I do agree that Hollywood is overdoing it a bit with sequels lately, but not all of them suck.
Batman sucked, although the last installment, Batman Begins, aimed to revamp the series and was better.
I guess it's just that they try to milk a good idea out until it turns sour and stinks.

Jenn, the only sequel I'm looking forward to is Spiderman 3. Pirates of the Carribean 2 could be a nice movie too though :)
