  1. On a different note, is it possible to get rid of Windows? I want an open source operating system, but will I face any problems, and what problems I will avoid in using other operating systems?

  2. Saqf, that is one big question, lol…
    Well, with you being a designer, your work revolves around design programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, …etc. that you can’t live without.

    So that limits you to only two OS options, either Windows or Mac OS.
    And I think you can actually run Mac OS X on your pc, here’s a link on it in Wired Magazine:

    Linux is a good OS, but the design tools on it are not good enough and unless you can run your programs on it through emulators, you can’t keep working smoothly.
