Lablabi, Fast Food à la Tunisienne

Lablabi

Tonight, we felt like going to Halfaouine in Les Berges du Lac for some yummy Lablabi.

Lablabi is a Tunisian fast food made up of bread crumbs, boiled chick peas, eggs, tuna, harissa (hot Tunisian chilli sauce), capers, cumin, olive oil and a little bit of garlic.

It's a weird mix, but it's great :)
If you ever visit Tunisia, make sure you try it out.

The photo should give you an idea of how it looks.
Yummy...

Houssein, I see from your blog that you did go on and make Lablabi for supper, so I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did :) Sa77a :)

Dasdous, well you should give it another try, not necessarily Houssein's lablabi, but when you visit Tunisia next time ;)

Natasha, Yeah it is. Keep int in mind for the next time you visit Tunisia :)

Mo, Yeah that's why I thought of taking a pic of it to share with you guys. It tastes as good as it looks too.

Ahmed, really? I didn't know that.

Oh, wow, althought I do admit that the picture looks excellent, do the ingredients really go well together? I can't imagine them combined...

lol, Roba, I still can't imagine that so I eat my Lablabi without tuna, eggs, and capers ;P But it still tastes wonderful. Next step is to have the courage to taste it the real Tunisian way :)
