Subzero Blue is Back

I don't know what to say...
This past week was so frustrating for me...

The blog dissapeared all of a sudden, but then it turns out the hosting company is just relocating servers. Phew... But not for too long, as the relocation ends and the blog is still not there, Panic takes over...
I go insane and border on depression...

Every day the news gets worse, first all the files were lost, then all the data was lost too, and so there was nothing left of the blog but some files lying around here and there on my desktop which would at best serve as painful memories...

Anyway, I just logged on the net a while ago and WOW here's the blog in all it's glory back up again.

I don't know who, how or where...
I just know it's online...
Thank you to whoever saved it...

A big thank you to Houssein who has been hosting this blog and who put a lot of effort into this whole story over the past week...

I'd also like to thank my wife Eman for her support throughout the past days, Natasha for caring and asking about the blog, Haitham for offering to help in anyway that he could and to everyone who thought of Subzero Blue in this past week and missed it.

LoL! Seems like your entire world collapsed when the site went down. Glad everything's all better now. :-) I was going to ask your wife about it being down on her website, but was afraid that would be rude.

That was a freaky week :) Saturday I slept a 5 of the morning exchanging mail with our host provider support team all night long.
I was almost depressed too.

They made a mistake somewhere, I don't know. They finaly recovered everything.

Thank you Marwen for being so comprehensive and suppotive. Et bon vent à Subzero ;)

I was about to write you an email. You had me try every extension from .com to .fos :D
I am glad things turned out fine.

Thank you all :)
It's so sweet of you guys :)

It was one hell of a nightmare!
The fact that I was about to lose everything I wrote, from June 2003 up to last week, was so depressing and just drove me mad.

From now on, backup backup backup is my slogan, lol...

And Haitham, I'll blog about life without blogging as soon as I get over it :P

Jenn, dear it wouldn't have been rude or anything. It's ok :)

Hussein, thanks for keeping MMM updated with info. you sure calmed him down :)

Wow... can't imagine anything worse than losing two years worth of posts! Well, il7amdella nothing happened :)
I kept trying to log on to the blog but I thought it was Batelco's fault, cause they're always giving me trouble :\

Welcome back subzero, I wondered where the blog went, then I read what Houssein wrote on www.rundom.com. Happy that nothing went lost. Keep on blogging!

Welcome back MMM!

We were so worried, especially with the blog awards going on :-S

This was the reminder you needed. Count yourself lucky and back everything up and set up a system to make routine backups of your site. You don't want to sweat another one of these out.

And, God forbid, if something happens again you might have luck temporarily moving things to another site until things are repaired.

I'm real glad everything made it back in one piece!!

Best o' luck to you!

~Jeff

Thank you all guys :)
It's great to be back with you all :)

I'll be backing up routinely so that I don't have to go through a scare like that again.

Thanks again everyone :)
I'm very touched by your support.
