Life On Mars?!

Could be…

A pair of NASA scientists told a group of space officials at a private meeting here Sunday that they have found strong evidence that life may exist today on Mars, hidden away in caves and sustained by pockets of water.

What was found, according to several attendees of the private meeting, is not direct proof of life on Mars, but methane signatures and other signs of possible biological activity remarkably similar to those recently discovered in caves here on Earth.

My thoughts on this issue have always been mixed although most of the times I’m more inclined to believe that there must be life on other planets than earth.

I mean, come on, with all the planets, solar systems, galaxies and never-ending space, how can it be that life only exists on this little planet earth.

What do you think?

  1. I think, there must be life on another planet far away from our system, may be not so developed as on earth. Another issue, is that the researchers just can detect life forms that are similar to ones that exist on earth. So life may exist and the researchers can’t find it out. German researchers found out, that some kinds of protozoa live in very hot water (up to 113

  2. Exactly, life on other planets doesn’t have to be something we’re familiar with. It could come in some other form we don’t know.

I mean for God’s sakes, we’re still discovering new life forms on our own planet just like the example you gave Soly.

  3. I think anything’s possible in space. I took an astronomy class recently from a professor that is on the board of NASA and he has taught us some EXTREMELY interesting stuff. He’s also in some sort of organization that seeks extraterrestrial (sp?) life. He doesn’t believe any aliens have visited Earth, but he thinks it’s very plausible that they exist thousands of light-years away.

  4. Very interesting ๐Ÿ™‚
I wish I could have taken an astronomy class in University. I really like stuff like that.

As for if Aliens have visited earth or not. Well I don’t know what to think of that. Sometimes I think that maybe they have, and sometimes I think: Nah, no way.

It’s when I read or hear about stuff like crop circles and UFO sightings that I start thinking: what if …?
But then I dismiss it and think that if they did visit earth, they’d be more excited to show that they have either by contacting us or by blowing a big hole somewhere not by just leaving stupid crop circles, lol.
