Future Arab Superstar : Finals : Prime 10 : The Results

The results for the 10th prime were just announced.

And...
The following candidates were called into the danger zone:

- Ranim Qoteit (Egypt)
- Brigitte Yaghi (Lebanon)

And the candidate who had to leave today was:

- Brigitte Yaghi (Lebanon)

Just as I expected.
It's about time she left.

It's a shame to see Ranim in the danger zone though.
I guess this means that we could be seeing him leave next week :(

So now we have our four finalists: Ammar, Ayman, Hadi & Ranim.
Just as I wrote in one of my comments, even though this Superstar season started out a lot stronger than last year's, what we're left with now at this stage is lower in level than last year, I think.

Anyway, I hope Ranim won't have to leave next week.

Talking of next week, next week's guest is going to be Nancy Ajram.

For more information, check out my Future Arab Superstar Coverage.

hi evryone

its good that brig is finally out-its about time! well it really shocked me that ranim was in the danger zone! i really dont want ranim to go out 2 kitkat it would be really sad but i have a bad feeling that he might. well at least there is some talent left-ammar,ranim;)

peace and love

Posted by: Eman at August 2, 2004 08:22 PM

I think everybody breathed a sigh of relief when Brigette was the one to leave, but still having Ranim in the danger zone means that he'll be leaving next week, so far the order of people in danger zone was a good indication of the order of them leaving. but anyway, he made it to the top 4 in a very weird voting system, i think that's good enough.
MMM was sayin that this year's top 4 is weaker than last year's top 4, and I just was wondering, who would you have preferred having in the top 4 that would've made it stronger. this question is directed to everybody, not just MMM.

Posted by: Karim at August 2, 2004 08:27 PM

First of all, when are they going to get better people to announce the show than Ayman and Rania? We don't need tricks to keep us on the edge of our seats before they tell us who's leaving. Both of them need to go. Second of all, lately, the people in the danger zone one week leave the next. So I expect Ranim to go next week, just as Brigitte, Muhannad, Hussam, and Abir did. Let me know what you think. Peace out- Dude

Posted by: dude at August 2, 2004 08:28 PM

Karim... the top four would have been MUCH MUCH stronger with Hussam Medanieh, Muhannad, Abir, and Ammar. So yeah, this year;s top four is weaker by comparison.

Posted by: dude at August 2, 2004 08:29 PM

i'm not happy at all, not for brigitte..i don't care but i'm really sad for ranim and i also fell that he will leave next week, ya rab no.
As for your question, karim, the top 4 should've been(with no order):wa3d, ranim, ammar, muhannad

Posted by: salma at August 2, 2004 08:31 PM

feel not fell sorry about that

Posted by: salma at August 2, 2004 08:32 PM

A great top four in my opinion would have been: Muhannad, Ammar, Waed and Housam.

Abeer is great too.

If those made it to the final four, this would have been one great season.

Posted by: MMM at August 2, 2004 08:38 PM

I wonder what will be the theme next week with Nancy Ajram as the guest?

Posted by: Dunia at August 2, 2004 08:38 PM

First of all, would like to wish Brigitte a good luck and a great life :) :D
Secondly, although I expected Brigitte and Ranim being in the danger zone, with Brigitte leaving, I was still sad to see Ranim in the danger zone, cuz this means that he'll be leaving next :( :(
Now, and if my expectations r right, Ranim will leave next (I'm SOOO SAD to say that), and if the order they called Hadi, Ayman, and Ammar with indicates that the first name called had the most # of votes, this means that Ammar will leave after Ranim, and the final will be between Hadi and Ayman (this really sucks :( :( ).
There is another possibility, and that is if the first name called had the least # of votes, this means that Hadi will leave after Ranim, and the final will be between Ammar and Ayman (which really sucks as well). So either way, Ayman will be among the final 2 (that is unacceptable :S )

Posted by: Calabala at August 2, 2004 08:40 PM

Dude, you're right, the top 4 should have been Abir, Madaniyyeh, Ammar, & Muhannad. The rest have good, run-of-the-mill voices, but not exceptional like the above.
I think Ranim should've gone out instead of Brigitte; she has the better voice. But some on this forum--the girls mainly--want Ranim to stay b/c he's good looking. They're voting 4 good looks, not talent! But then, that's how teenagers think and act!
But then 4 Ranim, Ayman, and Hadi to still be in the running while Madaniyyeh, Abir & Muhannad are out, is simply outrageous!
Perhaps next year--to keep the best talent till the end--the committee should be given 50% of the vote, and the public the other 50; don't you think?

Posted by: ItsMe at August 2, 2004 08:48 PM

Well my fellow bloggers, all the anticipation for nothing, Unless a miracle happens next week we would see Ranim leaving....Now having said that..If ammar leaves, and ayman and hadi are the ones compeeting for the title then this show has lost all credibility and the results were rigged. Ammar has not stepped in the danger zone, and no one knows how he ranks everyweek on votes, and Ruby has not gotten back to us on that....Nancy Ajram being a guest on superstar, thats a funny one, I hope they dont have to sing any of her songs, the funniest & most ridiclous thing would be for ammar to sing ah wo noss lool anyways I guess we'll find out next week.

To answer the question, First of all Wa3ed al ba7ri had an ok voice, but between Ammar, Abir, Houssam M. and Muhannad, she deserved to leave, and for her attitude, people like ranim deserve to stay while she left...But by far, I have not seen anyone like Muhannad, he is going to be someone big..his respect to his fellow contestants (him carriying thier pictures as they were singing). By the way, does anybody know who that lady next to him was? I have seen her in more than one episode (if not all) carrying a sign for him, and even on superstar extra while they were talking to the people outside, she has said she was there for Muhannad....is that the girl he is with????

Posted by: King 7ashash at August 2, 2004 08:54 PM

I guess my perfect show would have for top 4 waed, mohanned, madaneya... and I can't quite figure out who the fourth would be. Ammar would have left as the 7th, and it would be an outrage because he has such a good voice and it's a shame to see him go this early. but we would attribute it to the stupid Arabs who don't know how to vote.
Also, people would realize that the number they're dialing when they're voting for Mohanned is actually messed up and their votes are going to Ayman instead, but it would be discovered early and he'd go as the 15th. People would say "wow, that was a close one, imagine if he had made it to the top 4... that would be a disaster!"
Madaneya would've gone to world idol where the judge Simon would've told him "u seriously need to chill, go practice yoga or meditate or something, take it easy..." and the world would've thought that all Arabs have a bad case of constipation.

hi everyone,
i was scared 2 death cuz of rania & ayman really i wonder y do they do that 2 us.... i'm soooo sad 2 see ranim in the danger zone this time.. ayman was weaker than him the last prime although ranim was sick... people plz i beg u vote 4 ranim he deserves 2 stay more & more... ranim i promise 2 vote 2 u double the next time.. i love ranim s0o000o00o00o00o much.. i think i'll b crazy if ranim leaves the next time ( although i feel he'll leave ) i hope i'm wrong.. i wanna tell u (it's me ) we dont like ranim cuz of his look.. i'm not denying that ranim is handsome but first of all he's naturally talented & he has such a beautiful sound.. he make u feel that we r living in another time.. he is s0o0o0o0o0o0o00 great... plz vote 4 him he deserves 2 stay...

Ya Allah, guys please, trying to assume and judge why we are voting for Ranim over some of the other contestants doesn't really make u "smart". Ya3ny 7aram 3aleekom, "Jo" says that we vote for him cuz he is Egyptian, and "Its Me" says that we vote for him cuz he is cute and handsome and that we act like teenagres. What the hell r u guys talking about????
Ranim is very very talented mashallah, and this isn't my opinion, this is everybody's opinion including the judges. And if u "smart guys" have watched Mr. 3abdallah Quo3ood on Extra Chat on Zein TV, u would have never even tried to make the attempt to guess why we r voting for Ranim, cuz Mr. 3abdallah said that Ranim is not just a normal singer, but rather he is "Motreb" cuz he has this ability to make u stick around while he is singing to listen to "Altarab Alaseel" from him. Ya3ny u guys better clean ur ears next time before watching the prime so that u would be able to decide who is talented and who isn't.

Posted by: Calabala at August 2, 2004 10:04 PM

LoL calbala, Im not a teen, Idont vote for Ranim, but I still say, Ranim deserves to be in the final four, more than Hadi and Ayman do, Im really shocked Brigette left today, Having done so well yesterday. oh well, if the voting pattern stays the same, then next week would define who the top two are and how the hell someone like Ayman al a3tar can last so long...anyways, this is my last posting for the day....Take care

Noosa and Calabala: You must be teenage girls...and perhaps Egyptian; am I right or am I right? ;-)))

Salam 4 all,
King, you made laugh in a bad way man because of your comment on Nancy Agram and Ammar singing Ah w noss:))lol
man,I don't who the hell picked such guests for the program...oh well, it seems it's people with the same mentality that took Haifa wahby to Qartag, and Nancy to Jerash!!!
Calabala,I'll add my voice to yours,Ranim has a very nice voice and manners, and I think he's the best one after Ammar from people who left.
I wish all luck Inshalla to pass until the finals with Ammar, although I feel the wind is not blowing the right direction neither for Ranim nor for Ammar:(
People who asked about Ammar songs, please visit Ammar Hasan website and click on (estame3 w shahed)and go from there

No "Its Me", u r soooo wrong :P. Told u, don't try to guess cuz it really doesn't make u that "smart"

Posted by: Calabala at August 2, 2004 10:19 PM

Yes A7mad, the way this is going indicates that neither one will be in the finals as I explained previousely, and this is a REAL SHAME that such talents get wasted easily :( :(. And here u go "Its Me", another two very mature and respectable guys admit that Ranim is very talented.

Posted by: Calabala at August 2, 2004 10:27 PM

GOOODBYE King, talk to u tomorrow and have a great time :) ;)

Posted by: Calabala at August 2, 2004 10:28 PM

in this comment, i'm talking only to certain people ok?

To calabala, kitkat, noosa, and everyone who loves ranim:

guys, the first time ranim stood in the danger zone was in the third prime, then he didn't stand in the danger zone until prime 9, right?

All the time, when he had been safe, none of jo or it's me or anyone againt ranim appeared, they only appeared after he stood in the danger zone......what, guys?is that his bad luck or what?I'm really disappointed and scared

Posted by: salma at August 2, 2004 10:49 PM

FINALLY Brigette was out . It was about damn time because she seriously overstayed in the show .

However , and this is especially for you Salma ..You dont have to worry about whether Ranim leaves next week or the week after because those 4 now are gaurenteed to be managed and record dealed with Future TV just like last year with Diana , Rowayda , Sooud , and Melhem .

I hope Hady gets out next week . If not Im actually sensing that Ayman will be out . We,ll see anyway .

Posted by: معتصم at August 3, 2004 01:55 AM

hi everyone,
i really hope that ranim's not out next... i would def. cry! i have a theory for you guys.... you know how on the other blog i talked about the order of pictures... maybe it's in reverse order and it's telling who will leave first. so the order was brig., ayman, ammar, hadi, ranim and since brig. left today... ayman will be next and then ammar and then hadi and ranim would win.... i dunno if that would be fair b/c i seriously think that ammar should be in the top 2... or maybe i'm just taking this photo order thing way too seriously:)
i think a really good final 4 would have been... and again in no particular order... ammar, ranim, muhannad, and either one of the hussam's.

Posted by: kitkat at August 3, 2004 02:26 AM

hi again... i have a comment to make to Itsme.... honestly... you can say what u want but please cut out the teenage crap... and one more thing... why are you picking on ranim? it's not his fault that he's hot! God made him good looking and that's a plus for him. and if it's gonna make u feel better... then yeah... we vote for him b/c he's hot b/c after all we are just stupid teenagers! omg.....ufff! ranim is talented and teenagers aren't the only ones that think so and i think u can't say that the judges have no taste either b/c they think that he has a great voice as well! u have the right to ur opinion but i just wish that u don't start with this teenage nonsense as soon as something u don't like happens.

Posted by: kitkat at August 3, 2004 02:36 AM

hi everyone

hey salma i wish that ranim stays longer 2! i just wish more ppl would support him than just be a huge fan of his like they did 2 muhannad and we dont want that 2 happen 2 ranim either.

anyway moving on i am really happy to see brig leave not that i hate her or anything its just she got far enough:) oh and ahmad i did visit those websites u put out-they were very impressive and he takes good pictures:) lol. i just luv his awesome voice! he should have gotten a record deal a long time ago! 2 bad we never found out who he was until he became on superstar-im glad he did.GO Ammar!

where is hannah she hasnt posted in a while? well hopefully the results wont be such a surprise next week cuz i have a bad feeling ranim will leave. i def dont want that to happen! :S

take care :)

hi everyone,
sorry (to everyone except the person that the comment was addressed to) i kinda got upset in the last comment... i forgot to comment on whoever said that they should change the presenters ayman and rania... i dunno, i think that they're both really sweet and really fun and rania is pretty and ayman is cute so they have a complete package but i just think they should change their presenting style especially in the voting episode b/c while we were watching today... me, my mom, grandma, and my best friend were on the edge of our seats and we screamed at the tv several times... so yeah.. if they would just change the style, it would be awsome!
thanks ahmad for the site:)
take care

hi again... i know i know... this is like the 5oth comment in a row but oh well!LOL!
i forgot to say a lot of things...
1st welcome back king and abu farweh and dude:) nice havin u guys back(sorry to anyone else that i missed..oh and ruby:))
where are you moustafa? did you forget about those emails for me and hannah?
well take care everyone and since i don't think i'll be back again tonight... good night all!:)

Posted by: kitkat at August 3, 2004 03:00 AM

hey everyone

go kitkat i def agree w/ u that it isnt all teenagers falt cuz its not! cuz i have 2 teenage sisters and they vote for who sang the best that week! sometimes ammar, muhannad, ranim, ayman, all different ppl each week but i mostly think ammar and ranim should win top 2. and take a break on that picture deal lol:) i dont think it will be that way-i hope not anyway. but u do have a point but who knows.

oh and (its me) vote for who u like and dont care what we vote for cuz we're not gonna listen 2 some person 2 tell us who 2 vote for! and not just "us fat girls" vote for him! take a break on the disrespect even if its what u think.

moving on i think that this year wasn't fair cuz many ppl with talent left:( but what can i say.

peace and love 2 all

Posted by: Eman at August 3, 2004 03:00 AM

hi again

well i have 2 say that it will be sad seeing ranim leave! it was so sad when muhannad left-and i am still very sad about that he such a fun kind person to be with. inshallah he gets his reacord deal out soon cuz i will def buy it if he gets one as well as ammars and ranims:)

and sry if i offended u in any way (its me) its just u shouldnt take ur anger out on teenagers when they didnt do anything. well hopefully moustafa comes back for ur emails hannah and kitkat and those pictures for us.

and did u guys read the touching comments abu farweh wrote in the other prime 10 im still thinking about the nice things he had 2 say. thanx for posting that!
...oh and welcome back:)
... also welcome back king:)

take care and see u guys/girls soon

hi everyone once again

where did everyone go...hannah,sheryn,lulu,ahmad,soso,dunia,and everyone else:)

i guess im the only 1 here:) anyhow does anyone know websites where i can download arabic mp3s? sry 2 bother u guys/girls w/ my questions again. its just im kinda bored and i wanna download some of my favorite arabic songs-and did u guys hear ehab's song allah alak.. it is such a killer song u'll love it-it rocks! i think u can hear it/download it on muzika.com:)

see u guys/girls soon:)

Posted by: Eman at August 3, 2004 03:31 AM

Eman, I was not angry in anyway, but it seems that u misunderstood. U guys can vote 4 anyone u like 4 any reason u like. All I was saying that the way u and others talk about Ranim, makes it sound as though his good looks is all that matters. I never said he doesn't have a good voice, but better than Madaniyyedh or Muhannad, 4 example? No way...Ranim has an average voice, although he was v. good last Sunday. But again, with the best voices voted out, who cares about who becomes the superstar? ;-)
BTW, R u Egyptian?
Again, people should vote in this order:
1. Voice (talent)
2. Charisma
3. Feeling
4. Stage presence
5. Looks

Posted by: ItsMe at August 3, 2004 03:51 AM

no i am not egyptian i am Jordanian. just cuz i like ranim it doesnt mean i am egyptian. well anyway sry for anything i said it is just my opinon. and the reason why we like ranim is cuz i like his voice. but i might of misunderstood u.

peace and love 2 all:)

Posted by: Eman at August 3, 2004 04:07 AM

Dear "Its Me", thanks for clarifying what u meant by ur commnet :). Well, I'm sorry that I was very very rude with u, but honestly, it just pisses me off when some ppl try to judge others, especially when their judgement is soo unreal, and u were unlucky cuz Jo wrote about Ranim before u, and I was really mad reading both comments at the same time. We never compared Ranim with others, and never mentioned that Ranim is better than Muhannad and/or Hussam and/or whoever, all what we were saying is that Ranim is very very talented that we shouldn't deny his talent (and I personally think he is above average), and that he is the only one who deserves to be among the final two.
Anyways, Safy ya laban????? ;)
GOODNIGHT EVERYONE, *hugs and kisses* to all :) :D ;)

ItsMe i'm just curious, who do YOU think is the best at this moment? who is your favorite 'superstar'? who is the one that fits under all those categories in your opinion?

okay, i must 1st start out by saying, whats the deal with this girls being fat/ugly shit! im not even going to comment on that....i think the rest of u have done it and said it all!

and also (ur all gonna probably jump at me 4 this) but i am really glad brigitte left and not ayman. I still love ayman! (just me remember!) and i really hope that ranim doesn't leave next week even though i feel that he might. :`( i really HOPE that it ends up like this:
1. ammar
2. ranim
3. ayman
4. hadi

but it LOOKS like it will end up like this:
1. ammar
2. ayman
3. hadi
4. ranim
.....i dunno!?!
we'll have 2 wait and c i guess!
i respect ALL of ur opinions and i hope ur okay with mine even though i think that NOOO ONE else here loves ayman like me...oh well...thats just me though!

and hey eman...im jordanian 2! ;)

oh and karim...i personally would have wanted the top 4 to be....Ammar, Muhannad(habeebie), ranim, and i really dont know maybe houssam shami or abir.

oh and king 7ashash....so did u use that magic wand? it seemed to have worked! j/k lol

and hey kitkat...i feel ur pain...im literally dying 4 those emails...even though i did actually send some from the other emails and they went through but none responded. :-) oh well

Hannah I agree with the way you want things to turn out!! It may seem like Ranim will get kicked off next week but no one can be sure, I mean especially until he performs on Sunday. You guys are all letting your imaginations get to you. I personally am not really obsessed with Ranim at all but I'm just saying this to let you all know that it's not over yet! but if he does indeed get kicked off next week then we have room to believe that this show was actually planned! no offense but i don't think ayman or hadi are better than ranim, so they should get off before him.

Posted by: Dunia at August 3, 2004 05:08 AM

Hi All :-)

i have missed last night's result but managed to record it, i'll probably watch it today...

i was not surprised about Brigitte leaving us even though i think she's got talent and she deserves to be recognised for it like the other contestants.. see the problem here is that different expressions are being viewed under 3 repititive categories:

- she's not so good
- its about time she leaves
- thank god she left

i mean poeple come on, the show is there to give a chance to those talented poeple who take years to appear becoz of the lack of income and publicity .. you cant deny that this girl has talent at such a young age and she's there to present us with her dream her hobbie and we should respect it as viewers.. Um kalthoum didnt have a sex appeal and she didnt look good either but she had an eternal voice that still lives upon every generation.. i believe this show is based on luck, each contestant has a perentage of luck written for him in his path, the show depends on the amount of poeple who actually vote! dont forget that the tarrifs are high for some poeple who cant really afford it! its a matter of luck and choices.. all of the contestants are talented in their own way, they have a style of their own and i respect them all! i definitely agree that the show is not as strong sa last yr. but that doesnt mean we should bitch around brigitte's voice, ranim's look, hadi's attitude.. i mean come on its not star academy here or miss lebanon's 24 hr show, its a talent show dont look at them ! hear them!

i wish them all the best of luck after the show becoz thats what counts the most, the superstar show was a good experience and i bet we will miss the show when it ends becoz we got used to them every sunday and they all inspired us in some ways,, we lost gr8 contestants and its sad we will be left with only one! they all deserve to be superstars becoz they fought for it! they're normal just like us, they have dreams and they were fortunate to sing for us their dream and its up to us to listen or ignore.. stop blaming them!!

i wish i wouldnt have to read harsh words about them becoz they dont deserve,, we really dont know them in person to judge them..

see you guies for now!

Believe it or not, with Nancy being the guest next week it would have been nice to see Brigitte sing Ah W Noss, but im glad she is out!

So the new Super Star will be male then! Im so sad it is not Mohannad :(

And I am also sad that Ranim was in the bottom 2, I know he (at this moment) the final 2 with Ammar, Hadi & Ayman not so.

Posted by: ZlatkoT at August 3, 2004 10:34 AM

brigitte is gone.... 3a2bel hadi.

Posted by: Chadia at August 3, 2004 11:59 AM

good morning everyone:)....
first of all, i apologize to you Itsme... i think i misunderstood what you meant and that's what got me fumming... it's just that ur not the only one who commented on this teenage issue and i was trying to ingnore it but i guess i blew up on you... sorry again.

next, hi hannah... where were you? i missed you! were you doing homework like me? i hate homework especially in the summer:).

next, thanks DiDo for that comment... and you are right about the contestants, they do have true talent and really all deserved to get where they are now... and i wish brig. the best of luck b/c as you mentioned b4 me, she does have talent for her that many adults do not.

and last but certainly not least, yes Eman, i read the comment made by abu farweh in prime 10... it was so nice and it just gave me this warm feeling on the inside.... abu farweh, i truely admire your writing style and the words you chose:).
take care everyone
ps... welcome back ZlatkoT:)

Posted by: kitkat at August 3, 2004 01:57 PM

sry... i meant to say talent for her AGE:)... oh and dunia.. even though i'm a HUGE ranim fan, i think that ammar is the strongest voice on the show and ranim has the voice with the most feeeling so they kinda complete each other... b/c i know that ranim can't sing the jaballey like ammar but i also know that ammar can't sing the emotional romantic songs like ranim... i just think he lacks the feeling. so for me it's a toss-up! well anyways.. good luck to both of them as well as the others:)

Posted by: kitkat at August 3, 2004 02:04 PM

Chill out guys; don't take things personal. These are only opinions, and will always remain so.
I am really perplexed why so many were happy to see Brig go; this girl has lots of talent...more so than Ranim, Hadi, or Ayman. Her voice is Tarabi, and I can see her having a bright future.
Now to answer your question Dunia (and others), I think Ammar will be the next superstar. Although he does not have the looks or the Charisma that Hadi has, for example, but his voice makes up for what he lacks in the other categories. Moreover, since he's Palestinian, count on 99% of the Palestinian votes coming from all over the world 4 him--which is really a shame b/c this is a talent show and NOT a political statement. But since he's talented, why not?
Since I'll be going on vacation to Lebanon for the next month or so, as of next saturday, I think that I'll be missing the rest of the primes...maybe!

Posted by: ItsMe at August 3, 2004 02:52 PM

the way you are so happy and excited with brigitte leaving the show make me even more confident that people posting comments are either fatty girls with nothing to do but envy beautiful one like brigitte or gays that have nothing to do but fantacize about hadi, ammar and the rest.

Posted by: nader at August 3, 2004 03:08 PM

brigitte is the only one from the 17th that will have a big carrier.only time will make you see how wrong you were by voting her out

Posted by: nader at August 3, 2004 03:15 PM

Guys, chill out. Stop trying to figure out who's going to leave next week by silly methods like the order in which they call people's names. I think we should just wait until next week and what happens, happens. Please, no more whining about Ranim or Hady leaving. Oh and Nader, you are wrong. Brigitte's career will not be as successful as Hussam Madaneya's career, Muhannad's career, and many others, so stop prophesizing. Peace out- Dude

Posted by: dude at August 3, 2004 03:46 PM

What an early Start, Well thank you all for giving me alot of comments to read and waist my first hour at work. LOL. I cant remember who wrote the comment about the order of pictures, I doubt that has anything to do with it...its just that people are so into the show that they try to find patterns, as you know we (arabs) strongly believe in conspiracy theorys, and will go to great lenghts to actually prove them..I honestly would like Ammar to win as I have said before, However considering that they all will have record deals (even the ones who have already left will too) im glad that ammar is in the top 4 and we wont have to wait that long for him then we could all just relax....

About Nancy Ajram...I guess next weeks superstar extra is gonna be interesting, considering how four guys will have to sing the introduction and it will be funny to see how they actually prepared for it..let alone see them actually sing it on Sunday...

anyways it appears as if the only one..

Peace

King 7ashash

Posted by: King 7ashash at August 3, 2004 04:06 PM

Hey kitkat, I agree with you that Ammar has the strongest voice, but Ranim may show the most feeling. Everyone on the show has the good things about them and the not-so-good things about them. It should be interesting to see which is more important, voice or feeling. I guess we will find out in the coming weeks!! :)

now, nader you are stubborn and completely full of yourself. yes we are all happy that brigitte left but you haven't heard anyone say that 'she doesnt have a great voice' or that 'shes not so pretty', now have you? the girls here dont hate brigitte, we respect her and her talent, we just don't think she should be the SuperStar!! just because you are obsessed with Brigitte doesnt mean that you have to TRY and make everyone look like we are jealous and fat. everyone has their own person that they like, and even though you like Brigitte, you don't have to diss everyone else since she got kicked off the show. GET OVER IT.

Posted by: Dunia at August 3, 2004 04:59 PM

Ok, as cute as brigette is, but has anybody seen the picture of her on www.ammarhasan.com, EWWW

Posted by: King 7ashash at August 3, 2004 07:02 PM

hi everyone

first i wanted 2 say welcome back zlakotaT:) and
king 7ashash i do have 2 say it will be very interesting when they sing nacy's song in the beginning! king u dont tell us how many hours of work left anymore hehe:)

anyway i agree w/ u all that ammar has a strong voice. he has tons of talent as well as ranim. i would predict the show will be like this:
1ammar
2ayman
3hadi
4ranim
......but i def would not want it to be like that i wish it was like this:
1ammar
2ranim
3hadi
4ayman(sorry hannah)

~~well see u all soon~~

...sry i forgot 2 add a couple more things:) hey dunia -how r u? well i was just wondering in what part of america do u live in? cuz i live in a america 2, here in chicago. where is abu farweh?:) well anyway ill talk 2 u all later:)

kitkat ur right ammar and ranim do have different styles but sometimes ammar can be emotional like in prime 10 it surprised me that he was more outgoing but i def agree that they have different styles and we need both of them 2 stay longer - even if theyre both in the top 4 cuz we need different styles of singing and they would make the best. so i def agree with u that ammar has a stronger voice and ranim has a more romantic style though he can sing def types as ammar:)

...ps i am also still very sad that muhannad left he deserved 2 stay - i can feel ur pain zlakotaT lol. ...im sure he'll get a record deal out:)

take care;)

hi everyone!!
Dunia me tooooooooooooo :( :(!!where did u go in palestine??

Posted by: Lulu at August 3, 2004 08:59 PM

Yes, it's beautiful here and usually sunny all the time. I was born in Washington, D.C. though. Because I have a Palestinian passport, i had to go through Jordan instead of Tel Aviv to get to Palestine. The border was a big problem, but i'm glad i got to see Jordan. It's just like any regular city you could find in America. They have everything, unlike most places in Palestine. Israeli soldiers mostly gave us a hard time when we wanted to go to Jerusalem even though we're American. It was a weird trip.

Posted by: Dunia at August 3, 2004 09:04 PM

When i went to Palestine I was visiting el Aza'ryeh. I'm not sure if your familiar with that place but it's about 10 minutes away from Jerusalem. or at least it used to be before el Gidar.

Posted by: Dunia at August 3, 2004 09:06 PM

not really familiar to be honest!i have never beento palestine!!Bas Allah ekbeer!:D is it close to silwan??did u go to haifa,yafa,3akka,ramallah,el nasreh...?

Posted by: Lulu at August 3, 2004 09:11 PM

I went to visit Ramallah once. It was about 15 minutes away by driving. Also i went to Jericho and Tabarea (in Israel) and 3an Hogay. any sound familiar?

Posted by: Dunia at August 3, 2004 09:17 PM

Hey Lulu, I 've been to all those cities, they are very beautiful, my favorite is Haifa, offcourse after Ramallah, since Ramallah is my city, tell me did u like Ramallah

Posted by: niveen at August 3, 2004 09:19 PM

Jericho and Tabarea (in the occupied territories u mean!!!)they sound familiar a bit..but 3an Hogay...not really...although i would love to visit every inch in Palestine!!
my dad keeps telling abt mana'ish el za3tar hunak..wel falafel..el teen,el 3einab..the oranges in yafa...whenever he eats those things here...MAFI SHI METEL KHEIRAT EBLADNA...i hear that sentence a million times a day!! :)

Posted by: Lulu at August 3, 2004 09:23 PM

tab3an neveen...Haifa 3arouss el bahar!!ahhh,khalas..ana nazleh el x-mas vacation iza Allah rad!!!! :)

Posted by: Lulu at August 3, 2004 09:25 PM

Yes all the food there absolutely rocks. What i liked best was the Shawirma. you will never never find better shawirma!! im getting hungry now... :-P. Where I was staying was in the occupied territories and to get to Jerusalem if we didnt want to go to checkpoints we had to go to the 'bawaba' which is basically this really thin piece of wall you have to walk across to get to the other side. sometimes theres soldiers there. the most amazing thing was the wall surrounding most of palestine to keep us from getting into jerusalem. i wrote so man bad things on them! hehe it was all worth it.

Posted by: Dunia at August 3, 2004 09:31 PM

hehe...where are from in palestine?

Posted by: Lulu at August 3, 2004 09:34 PM

Salam again,
They always have had plans to control us Niveen, it's nothing new. but the problem we don't have any counter-plans to face them,we're sleeeeping in our butts waiting for farag Allah to come!
look at us the youth, what are the things that brought us together?..superstar! Palestine is just a marginal in our conversations.
we're human beings too ,we need to cheer up some time, but when your whole life is centered about issues that won't push our nation up,then I think we might have a problem.
I'll be honest here, nothing would brought that interest to me watching superstar other than Ammar (and Samer Syoury and Diala Oudeh),when I listened to them, I just couldn't resist to support them.I felt that the Palestinians are under siege even in music. I don't know if I have done the right thing, but Inshalla he's gonna be a good represntative of our values as Arabs and Palestinians.otherwise (La Sama7a Allah)I'd regret every minuite I've spent to support him!
just a thought I wanted to share!
Peace and Love

I don't mean to offend anyone or put anybody's opinion down, but can we please take the politics out of the show. I mean can't we enjoy the show and the people in it for being them and not where they are from. When it comes down to it...they are all arabs. The show is for entertainment and not is not a political statement so just enjoy it for the music.

Posted by: Sali at August 3, 2004 11:09 PM

I have to agree with Sali, this is an entertainment show and not about politics. I understand the strong feelings and everything behind it cause i'm palestinian myself, but it is irritating since we are here for superstar and nothing else. That can also annoy others from different nationalities too. I hate to say it, but we tend to make everything political or about nationality... ufffff. that's not cool. Get over it and talk music and talent.

u r right...its a show abt talent and music!and if u had read all the comments..u will find that 95% of whats talked abt is superstar!its not like all we talk abt is politics...and mentioning our countries is not annoying anyone...or i hope its not..well it shouldnt..i really enjoyed reading when some of our friends were talking abt egypt and jordan and soudan and i would love to read abt other countries as well!yes its true,we are all arabs..and many of us are from a country yet cheering for some from a different one!everyone here is very respecting i find..i dont see why you would be so bothered!and i think everyone has the right to write whatever they want..as long as they are polite!

Dear Sali and Loze, we don't have to be serious all the time, we need to have a some break to cool off.having said that you can consider that our "political" talk a kind of cooling off break from the "serious" superstar talk!;)
and according to a trusted member on this blug named Lulu, almost 95% of the talk here is "serious" so don't worry ..we're on the right track!!

i probably wouldn't come on this blog that often if all we talked about was superstar! peace my bro!

Shukran Hannah, Ahmad and all. One more ta3leq,
not all of the people who come from the arab world are 3rab. we should respect all the non arabs too that lived in blad el sham and north africa. My best friend is charkasiya and comes from jordan. they are not 3arab but there roots come from jordan (aban 3an jad).

again, enjoy life and forget boundaries, nationalities, and more......yalla. bye.

hi sali and loze and welcome to the blog,
well, first of all i wonder how serious would it be to spend a whole week discussing why did this contestant smiled and the other one cried, I mean please whats is so serious about it ...lol
also, you are completely right, alot of people hate politics and hate talking about it bcz it might be sadening, you know why even bother talk about it since it doesnt have to do anything with our perfect lives which is superstar.
you completely have the right not to participate in such conversastions... LOL J/K
one last thing, please everyone check out this website, it is politics again, but what you are gonnaa do, offcourse sSali and Loze dont bother clicking on it its too much reading ewwwwww ploitics

Hi everyone,
thanx Calabala and for the welcoming
Hanna, I am doing fine, hope you are too, well Hanna, the article is in arabic, i will try briefly to tell you whats in it,
the article is talking about a project that the united states with other European countries are trying to do in the middle east, the purpose of the project accordinng to the Americans is to create democracy in the Arab world, in addition to improve the economic situation, but the real purose behind it is to kill anything called arab world and to have something called middle east instead which offcourse includes Isreal. and israel will be the leader
Also, many of the arab countries will have an economy based on the Aids coming from USA and European countries, so as a result, we will always be dependent on them. it is true that we will have more job opportunties, but as soon as they decide to stop the funds if some kid from Palestine for example holds a stone in front of an israeli tank, those jobs will disappear.

Posted by: niveen at August 4, 2004 03:03 AM

Its O.K. ya 7abeebty kitkat ;), walaw, I can't be on strike and quit talking to such GREAT ppl
Some CD's that I would personally recommend are:
*Laily Nhary (Amr Diab)
*Sebha T7ebak (Hisham Abbas)
*Quarrab Ly (Wael Kfoury)
*2ader W Te3melha (Mo7ammed Mo7y)--> GREAT CD
*Enty Msheety (Mel7em Zain)

Eman ya 7oby, of course I'm having soo much fun going on such trips, all I'm missing is u guys :) :D
No prob sis. Niveen, anytime ;)
*hugs and kisses* to everyone. GOODNIGHT :) :D

I had a one-time professional singer friend tonite at our house, and we watched a recorded last episode of SuperStar. I asked her to evaluate each singer. Here's what she said:

1. When Hadi tries to do the 3Urub, he struggles (out of breath).
2. Brigitte is very good, but can improve in time.
3. Ranim is excellent, and so is 3Ammar, but not as good as Ranim.
4. Here's what suprised me the most: Ayman has the best voice (according to her)!!! He does the 3Urub effortlessly!
5. Hmmm...

Posted by: ItsMe at August 4, 2004 05:25 AM

LOL "Its Me", basically, ur friend's opinion about Ayman didn't really surprise me, it actually SHOCKED me :S :( !!! Other than that, I think its fair enough for everyone, however, I don't think that we can compare both Ammar and Ranim, cuz each of them has his own style.
Anyways, GOODNIGHT and HAVE FUN IN LEBANON :) :D

Posted by: Calabala at August 4, 2004 06:01 AM

Oh BTW "Its Me", did u actually argue against some of her opinions???

Posted by: Calabala at August 4, 2004 06:03 AM

hi everyone!

calabala i agree w/ u 110% on that:) - how u were shocked of what "It's me" told us what the proffesional singer said about ayman:) everyone has there own a opinion but that was just unbelievable of what she thought.:)
..(:but lots of ppl r supporting ayman (for example 7abeebty hannah:))... and i think that he has some what talent i guess, 2 make it this far!:)

...:)and its true that ammar and ranim have def styles - just like what 7abeebty kitkat said,:) ranim can sing romantic songs and fun songs, and ammar has a strong voice that can last long and he can sing many styles:) they all have something unique about themselves;)

~~well take care~~
Goodnight and sweet dreams everyone!!:) :)

For real now GOODNIGHT AND SWEET DREAMS:)

Posted by: Eman at August 4, 2004 06:58 AM

Thanks ya 7aiaty Eman :) :D. "Remember the Titans" is one of the best movies I've ever watched, its SOOO AMAZING. And u know what, whenever I watch it, I just cry even though I've watched it tons of times and know it very well, but I really can't help it, it has a great message and this message was portrayed effectively and wonderfully :) ;) :D

Take Care and GOODNIGHT

Posted by: Calabala at August 4, 2004 07:07 AM

Talking about movies reminded me of something. King 7ashah, you have to watch office space. It's obvious that you love your job very much and time just flies when you are at work. This is really a motivational movie for anyone who loves his job like King 7ashah.

Abu Farweh, er7am sheway ya mu7a66im guloob el sabaya ;-)

Posted by: Abbood at August 4, 2004 07:32 AM

My Dear Critics,

I agree with Niveen’s observations about the "Development Dollar" and the hidden agendas behind it. I believe that we should have an exit strategy that deliver us from the restrictions of this economic pacifier and propels us forward to become nations of producers and not consumers. About the separation barrier which is currently being built, you may want to visit the following address http://stopthewall.org/ It has intensive coverage of the issue.

On the Superstar side of things, I look forward to next Sunday’s episode Ammar will be singing for Nasri Shams Eddin and Wade’ As-Safi, two musical legends.

Kitkat, Hannah, Calabala, Eman, King and Queen, Ahmad, etc. I think that Sou’od Abu Sultan’s album is great, Wa’el Kfoury is pretty good, Mo’uin Shrif is excellent. Try www.shamusic.net for free and good quality music.

Abbood, you think, your doing pretty good too ;-)

Abu Farweh – Good Day.

Hi everyone
Abu Farweh, could you please tell us about life in Jerusalem or even the West Bank after the wall, i know it has been hard before the wall to move between the cities, but how is it now?

Posted by: niveen at August 4, 2004 02:31 PM

Hello everyone,
This is my first post here.
I've been reading most of your posts and just had a theory that I want to share with you. It may sound strange but I think it may be right.
I think what got Ayman to this position is "Mo3ammar Al Qaddafi". Yes the Libyan leader. You remember when Ayman was in the danger zone?? It was so early and from that time "strangely enough" we didn't see him in it again.
Libya has no presence in arabian music and Ayman is there only hope right now and more people will recognize Libya if he becomes a superstar. And that's explain why he uses the word "Halba" so much.
Finally, I just want to say that I don't hate Ayman and I don't hate Libya and yes I do hate Mo3ammar Al Qaddafi.

Posted by: Crush at August 4, 2004 03:32 PM

Eman, if I'm not mistaken, I think the Idol will be on FOX. whatever channel that is in your area.

Posted by: Dunia at August 4, 2004 04:42 PM

American Idol is so bring compared to SuperStar! I very seldom watch it when I have nothing better 2 do. The talent doesn't even compare 2 Superstar; it's mostly screaming, more screaming, and more screaming, which they call singing!!!
Calabala, yes, I argued with my friend about her assessment of each voice, but she remained adamant that Ayman has the best voice, followed by Ranim's.
That said, it does not necesarily mean that Ayman will win, bcz people vote 4 other things besides talent. We ought 2 know that by now with the exit of Abeer, Husam Madan., and Muhannad, right? ;-)

Posted by: ItsMe at August 4, 2004 06:43 PM

hi everyone
thanks calabala and abu farweh for those cd ideas ... i think the only one's that i haven't heard out of all those is moh'd mo7y and mo3een shraif b/c i couldn't find them anywhere but i will try that site that you gave me abu farweh.
abbood.... you made me LOL with that comment u made to abu farweh:)
itsme... wow, i can't believe ur friend said that... that's actually pretty funny!
crush.. what u said might be true about the voting for ayman but there are somelibyian singers out there like shab gelani who i think has a great voice.
take care everyone

To answer ur question, I always feel angry and teary whenever I hear Fairooz singing this song, but that actually didn't happen when Ammar sang it, cuz for some reason I didn't like his tone when singing this song, it was too slow for him, bas he actually showed feelings this time, FINALLY ... YUPPPPY :) :D
Hope u enjoy working today :) ;), Allah Ma3ak :D

He seems like he loves his job....LOL

Posted by: niveen at August 4, 2004 08:25 PM

king....totally blushing;)!... but i really wonder who this queen 7ashasha is?

Posted by: kitkat at August 4, 2004 08:32 PM

King, Niveen, etc. yes Jayyous has been hit hard by the separation wall, some of the worst clashes ever between villagers and the Israeli Forces with their formidable and destructive machinery took place over there when erection of the pre-cast concrete segments of the wall started to fall in place. For the rest of the fellow readers, the village of Jayyous is now completely sealed off from its agricultural land and water resources. The only way villagers can reach their land is through army controlled gates that “open” based on an absurd schedule. Having annexed the village’s agricultural land, these gates never fail to surprise people as their guardians always conceive sick and inhuman ways to stomp the sole and dignity of every man, woman and child that passes, completing an ingenious plot of identity stripping.

Ok and since this is a Superstar discussion forum, I think the Extra episode was boring. I feel bad for Ammar, if Raneem leaves us this Sunday he will have to baby sit Hadi and the Halba guy.

Good Night – Abu Farweh

Posted by: Abu Farweh at August 4, 2004 08:37 PM

lol abu farweh... i totally agree... if ranim leaves this week, he will have absolutely no competition (in my opinion) and it would be a total shame if ranim loses to hadi or ayman... b/c i think that he's way better and it will be a bigger shame if ammar loses to hadi or ayman... i'm praying for a ranim and ammar final, that would be interesting since they both have equally good voices but in different ways... well good luck to them:)
take care

Posted by: Lulu at August 5, 2004 12:43 AM

hi everyone,
well i just finished watchin superstar extra... it was okay. i think they really enjoyed themselves in egypt:)i can't wait to see what they did in jordan on the next extra and i really can't wait to see sunday's prime cuz i think it'll be interesting to see how the 4 guys do. i think the song that the judges picked for ranim is layl wo ra3d wo bard wo ree7 (wael kfoury) and for ammar i think they picked 3iz el 7abayib (saber el roba3ey). it should be interesting:)
i also like the al2ab that future tv picked for the contestants... (if anyone has seen the latest superstar commercial ...it's what i'm talking about) oh and if anyone saw that last part on superstar extra... where ayman said that all the people that sat next to ranim for the last 3 voting episodes were the ones that left... i think that's really funny! 7ay geeb lel maskeen som3a we7sha!lol!j/k!
king 7ashash... LOL! i can't believe you said that but u know maybe if calabala was as guy... what you said might've been true:) lol!
goodnight all

Posted by: kitkat at August 5, 2004 02:24 AM

hi again...
i just realized this... if the judges really picked the songs that i listed above for ranim and ammar, i thik they're doing a little test for them. 3iz el 7abayeb needs a lot of emotions and feelings that ammar doesn't really have at this point and layl wo ra3d wo bard wo ree7 needs a stronger voice than ranim's so i think the judges did a little switching of the situations and gaqve each contestant a song to sing that might be a little difficult for him... i think that was really smart b/c whoever wins isn't going to always sing one type of song... that's why i
think the prime will be interesting b/c we're so used to the contestants singing songs that they're comfortable with but now they have to sing songs that might be harder for them and this is when we'll find out where the real talents are.
good night again and i'll talk to you after i get home from work tommorrow inshallah.

Posted by: kitkat at August 5, 2004 03:10 AM

hello!

very interesting thoughts kitkat:) what u think might actually be true:) well will see how they do on prime 11:) 3 songs each..wow:) well take care everyone see u all 2morrow:)

Goodnight and sweet dreams:)

Posted by: Eman at August 5, 2004 07:09 AM

King 7ashash, I think one day I will send you my resume to find me a job in your company. Tell me though, how would you feel if you are still doing this when you are 50?

To answer the question about having teary eyes listening to Zahrat Al-Mada2in... I absolutely was not touched by Ammar's performance. It seems like there was something stuck in his throat while singing the song (i.e. a piece of potatoe). I am sure that the people who had tears had Fairouz's voice playing in the background of their heads. In my opinion as I have stated many times before, Ammar screws up every emotional song. I think he better sticks to the songs that require shouting... ooops sorry, songs with high tones that require a powerul voice ;-)

I still can't make sense out of inviting Nancy Ajram. I can't understand why Future invited her, and I can't believe that she actually accepted the invitation!!! It was mentioned that it will be embarrasing for the fantastic four to sing her silly songs. However, I honestly believe that it will even be more embarrasing for her to sing with them. It will be fun to watch though.

Yeah, Abbood, that whole Nancy thing puzzles me too. I think they should get someone with actual talent to be a guest, like George Wassouf, for example. Anyway, what I really wanted to address is the people who a boycotting this blog, like Aman and others. Please you guys, you can protest the show all you want, but please return to the blog. It's not helping the cause in any way if you protest the blog. And anyway, this blog isn't about superstar anymore. We're pretty much a community now, and Superstar is just one thing that we like to talk about. Peace out- Dude

Posted by: dude at August 5, 2004 03:15 PM

you are right dude, there are million things we can talk about, we share a lot of joys and concerns whether its political, social, or anything else....
anyway, the blog has been quiet lately since everyone knew Nancy #ajram is the next guest, its big shock, i guess the theme is dala3 songs... thats the most polite way we can say it LOL

I don't know if you guys noticed in the extra that Muhannad said something like from the people left Ammar and Ranim are the strongest, but he thinks Ammar and Ayman are gonna make it to the final, and he's voting for Raqnim and Briggette...at least that's how I understood his comment..
so how is everybody?

eh heik bidi yaki!!lool!

Posted by: Lulu at August 5, 2004 05:58 PM

Abood, both of them suck, talking about such clips,is there anyone who watch Rosoomat Muta7arera in Future it comes just before the news,I Looove it.
Accounting,I think Firas would disagree with you Niveen and Lulu,he thinks Accounting is the most prestigous branch of business, just like law. statistics say they don't live long, though;))but yeah it pays more than business:(
King,Saba7 Elkheer, what's up?:)
Lulu,we're just trying to think the best of you Sis;) a self motivated hard working student..yeah right:)lol

Posted by: Ahmad at August 5, 2004 06:08 PM

lol ahmad...i thank you for that thought!!and abt accounting...i dont hate it..i truly agree with Firas...(who is Firas?:S) but i do agree with him!it is the hardest and most respected field in business!i personally didnt hate it when i took a course...it can get frustrating at times i must admit!but once u graduate and start working..it pays off...right niveen?

Posted by: Lulu at August 5, 2004 06:15 PM

I took accounting in college, it took me three tries to pass the first one, lol, and two tries to pass the second one (managerial)....so I agree that accounting sucks...I just kept withdrawing at the end of the semester so it wont affect my gpa...but al 7amdolilah, its all over with now..so how is everyone doing, ahmad, niveen, lulu..........

Posted by: King 7ashash at August 5, 2004 06:20 PM

I thought you were a senior member in this blog,Firas is my brother. he used to post, but he has some technical problems at his work,he can't post.
I think it depends on the teacher you have, he/she can make the topic very intersting or very boring and hard to swallow. I had couple of accounting classes back home they were fine.here I only had to take one,International Accounting, and it was kind of advanced for me, I ended up with a C.bas El7amdella,it was the only class:)

Posted by: Ahmad at August 5, 2004 06:22 PM

Marah AL shay (teal) be2ool lal sokar, aish ya 7elow....Fa rad 3aleh al sokar wo allo, ahlain ya medawbney....

Posted by: King 7ashash at August 5, 2004 06:29 PM

most of my accounting professors in birzeit university were loosers except walla for the guy that taught us international accounting, he was great..
and Lulu, for me since i work in the university( nonprofit) they dont pay very well, but in terms of the tuition benefits, it is the best especially it is an expensive university..
hey king, whats up, how many years did it take u to graduate from college????????? LOL

Posted by: niveen at August 5, 2004 06:30 PM

Who said I did??????? j/k. it took me 5 years, but thats because I took a year off. so counting the year i took off, five years :) and guess what, just like you, work paid for it too :)
