It assigns weights to certain words, such as Nigeria, offer, P... well, you get the idea. If a email gets above a certain score, it goes into the junk box.
To get past this spammers randomly swap letters in a word around. This works because you only really need to see the first and last letters of an english word to be able to read it.
He doesnt have a spelling problem, hes just pond scum.
