3 Tunisians @ Star Academy on LBC
Well, although i still don't have a satellite dish at home, and am disconnected from the world's satellite TV stations, i've heard quite a lot about the 3 Tunisian contestants who are on the LBC version of Star Academy.
After last year's outstanding success of SuperStar on Future Television, this year LBC hit back with Star Academy.
I wish the Tunisian contestants all the luck. And may the best win.

Posted by: adel at February 7, 2004 03:59 PMHello everyone…I’m Fred a Filipino from Jeddah…and I have been watching Star Academy only last Hajj vacation…From the start I was really impressed with the production, the settings (what a nice building indeed) and the trainers especially Aida is professional. Wow, these students are very lucky. Although I don’t speak Arabic and I cant understand what they’re saying…I somehow managed to understand it through body language and facial expressions…and to be honest in just one weeks time of watching them almost 24 hrs a day at Star Academy….( I start to watch them from 9AM till 3 AM-during the vacation – now I just taped it in the afternoon and watch it again upon coming from the office)… I have known all the students and their attitudes. To be honest I was a bit sad for Mohamed Atiya when Mira was voted off, coz I know that she’s really special for him. Have u guys watched the exercised yesterday where Mohamed cried (again) and embraced Sofia…my oh my that was really touching. I even saw Bshar (his best friend among the group , almost in the verge of crying while watching his friend Mohd crying in the shoulder of Sofia on stage).
Personally, I like AHMAD coz he’s one of the favorites – he’s a cool , handsome guy, a nice dresser, very eager and can easily comprehend..hes really a STAR material….but he has to improve his voice. BASHAR is definitely the best among the group…good actor…..very good singer…..a total performer ( you see how he plays the PIANO?) and very charming and kind hearted person (you can see it in his smile – even his eyes, his total face really perks up when he smiles – straight from his heart)….CYNTHIA is a clown, gee, I love this girl,,,shes just crazy and she’s the life of the party….but mind you, watch out when she sings…she’s really good very good…and when she acts……its 100%…she really gives her best..a performer…
MOHD KAWATI from Saudi is more on the serious side..more conservative I guess….but musically talented…he sings so well and can play the guitar professionally….BRUNO is like the father-figure among the group….the girls just love him coz he’s very harmless…I want to try his spaghetti someday ….BAHAA…is beautiful, but needs to improve her voice….MIRYAM….well what can I say about her? She’s funny sometimes….she’s not consistent…sometimes she’s good, sometimes she’s not…but I love her HUSKY Voice….MOHAMMED ATIYA…..behind those crazy antics and being restless..(he’s like the male CYNTHIA)..the guy is a very sensitive person….I think Mohammed should realize what’s important in his career now. He’s still young and should know how to balance personal life with his career and ambition….SOFYA, the favorite coz she’s so charming, so sweet, so innocent looking…she has a good voice and it seems that everyone loves her…especially the fans…..
So that’s it for now…I will try to send u again my thoughts on my next e-mail and I hope to meet new friends here specially those who love AHMED so much…lets support AHMAD all the way……

Regardless, I'll go ahead and tell you what I think of every member. Ahmad is very very good looking, and he has the best mentality I've seen yet. Bahaa--you're amazing in every way possible, your voice, attitude, personality, you're a well-rounded person--I wish people were more like you. Bashar is such a sweetheart--always smiling and always putting a smile on other peoples' faces. Mohammed A.--you are hilarious! You're naturally funny and you make it seem effortless--you remind me of Amr Diab when he was younger (when he first started singing)--you're adorable. Sofia is the shy, quiet one--she's got a baby face, but when she gets dressed up she looks gorgeous. Cynthia is a clown indeed but she's very sweet as well. Mohammed K. is more of a calm guy, but he's got an edge (my grandma absolutely loves you). Maryam is a nice girl, but she needs to tone it down a little bit--act more like a lady. She's very sweet sometimes but she comes off very strong and intimidating--nevertheless, she has a beautiful voice (reminds me of Najwa Karam).
That's it!--Hopefully I didn't offend anyone with anything I said, afterall this was all just my opinion.
